Hi, I agree with the gentle stretching and not over doing it. I over did the exercise yesterday and woke up at 3am hurting all over. Today I will just do the stretching.

As a retired teacher, I can understand how hard it is to keep up with things Linda. I don't think that I would want to be in the classroom nowadays and hope that you have a better week next week. Forget your over doing it on your birthday. We all need a special treat now and then and feel good about the weight that you did lose. . emoticon

Hang in there,

Pat

Actually, I did manage to lose a little weight this week, so I should celebrate that. Thanks for the advice. I need to get back to exercising as well and also need to be stretching. Teaching is so demanding these days and I just can't keep up. Wish I could retire, but have at least 3 more years before that happens. My back has eased off (Bio-freeze is a wonderful product) now, so will start on some of the things that need doing. It's nice to have the support here. emoticon

My advice, hon.
Gentle stretching daily + taking it easy during your flares.

It's helping me, and my mood had lifted greatly. It's the daily stretching and leg lifts that seem to be working the best for my leg pain. Try what works.....but it's the consistency that's the key..

Good luck.

My birthday was this week. My teacher buddies brought in a cake for lunch and then I went out to eat and they brought me a birthday dessert (which I couldn't resist). I did manage to control the dinner part - only ate half of everything. But I just seem to be in a "munchie" stage and having problems controlling portions. I've just got to get back to weighing, measuring, and tracking what I eat (that is most helpful). I woke up with my back hurting and I've got so much to do today - it never seems to end. My 87 year old mother tries to help as she can, but the hubs isn't too much help, so it all seems to fall on me. Well, Sunday begins a new week and I'll just look at it as a new beginning!
