Angel, it doesn't matter how long you wait, the PT will help a lot. I had 2 disks removed from my neck in 1987, and had a lot of problems afterwords. Don't think I'd be where I am physically or emotionally without a good therapist. Good luck Fran
I'm also doing Pyshical therapy but it's for my neck I had surgery back in May I did home theraphy but now neorosurgeon has me doing onsite Psyhical therapht the reason for waiting so long is I didn't have someone to watch my kids on all the days I would have to go,now they're back in school it's easier

My Ortho doctor has started me on physical therapy for the osteoarthritis in both my knees. The lady working with me did a lot of bending of my legs, poking areas twisting my hips, etc. I tend not to think about a lot of the pains I have. I just figure I stand too long or walk to much. According to her my hips are in a state needing therapy. I do get a pain in my lower back when I stand a while, like when doing the dishes. She said that is because I have an issue with my hips and that effects how my knees feel and also doesn't help with the pain in my feet. So I am now on physical therapy three times a week for six weeks to start
