I am a chicken first class about needles from the dentist or the doctor but if you get the set of three, you will not feel it at all. The one big shot does hurt for a few minutes but you can ice it down before the shot or ask for something to numb your knee before the big shot between the joints. It is worth a little pain to get rid of 6 months of pain and some folks get up to 2 years without pain. I am thrilled to be pain free for 6 months!! Have him give you an Rx for Xanax to relax you an hour before you go for the shot. You will just be sleepy. I hate pain worse than I do needles.........I will be praying you will try it.
Maxie56: Have you tried the SYNVISC-ONE gel shots in your knees? Mine are bone on bone and the gel shots put in a cushion and so far, I have put on knee replacement for a year. It gets rid of the pain also. Type it into the search box and check it out.

My dear Libby I am so sorry to hear your so uncomfortable. Have you tried talking to a GI doctor? Mine put me on stool softeners and a medication called Amitiza which helps me stay regular. It really helped me out because I'm on a ton of medication that causes problems. As for your weight you might need to make a few changes with your exercises and try changing your amount of calories. You could be in starvation mode. I wish you all the luck. Hang in there!

I started stretching over a year ago in the mornings and it has made such a difference in how I feel and move. Someone also suggested stretching before bed which makes sense to me. I toss and turn all night with hip, knee, and back pain.

My life tomorrow will be the result of my attitudes and the choices I make today.
I had to start drinking hot prune juice and eating bran muffins to get over the constipation and sluggish feeling from the pain meds.
I had to eat 1500 calories for my body to let go of some weight and so I guess it was in starvation mode? Try adding some more fruits and veggies to your menu and water.......the walking should help a lot.
I am glad the knee pain is less but sorry to hear about the rest of the pains......wow, our bodies betray us when we need them the most!! How about a deep muscle massage instead of the trigger point injections? Good Luck in getting relief!
Good morning all: Frustrated.....haven't lost an ounce in over a week. I'm eating about 1200 calories a day..... (some days a bit more some days a bit less)...and I'm walking more. Any suggestions on how to kick-start more weight loss?
I have now had 10 Stupartz injections in my knees and am feeling some relief. But now I'm having pain in my neck and shoulders. My pain management doc said my neck is full of arthritis and my shoulders are so tight that he's going to have to give me (painful) trigger point injections to loosen them up. It seems I go from one body part to another......seeking relief from pain,
I take powerful pain meds which constipate me (TMI, I know).....could this be why the scale isn't moving?? I do what I can to deal with this problem.....but................
I'm beginning to stretch more; I hope I'll get some benefit from this.
Anyway, I'd love to hear from anyone who has successfully overcome a plateau.
Many thanks and hugs,
