I'm on a ton of medication and get upset stomach's a lot of the time. The only thing I have found to calm my tummy is smoothies. I'm not a big tea drinker so the coldness of the smoothies is just right for me.

Seriously. I have had stomach trouble for years....over 25 now. The ONLY thing that has helped and got me off meds (was taking Nexium 40mg twice daily!) was cutting carbs to very low levels and increasing fat and protein. My carb intake is always less than 10% of calories, usually around 5%. No grains.....they are nothing but complex sugars. Vegetable oils are not good....stick with olive and coconut.

I eat yogurt or a teaspoon of peanut butter to keep my stomach from gettting upset. Salty foods help and popcorn is also a favorite of mine. Can you drink green tea? I try to drink a few cups of it daily and feel it keeps my stomach calm.

I need to keep my stomach full because of the motrim I take for my arthritus. If I don't my stomach hurts--so how can I lose weight? I'll eat fruit but that doesn't help. I would appreciate any suggestions anyone has. Thanks.
