Post a hard cardio - apple or banana.

BUT I love Quaker rice cakes (large not small) with chocolate peanut butter. Calories are high but it's crunchy, tons of protein and really filling.

Fiber One Chocolate Fudge Brownie. Only has 90 calories and 20% of the recommended daily value of fiber. Also satisfies my sugar craving and keeps me full for several hours.

You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try.

Just wanted to stop in and share my favorite pre-workout snack, which is a 1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce. I work out after work and am normally hungry by 5:30 - 6pm because I split my lunch into two mini-meals: at 11am and 2pm. I have applesauce about a 1/2 hour before my workout and it gives me just the right amount of energy without spoiling my workout or my dinner afterwards.

Triscuit makes thin crackers and they are good for a salty snack

Made it to my maintenance weight of 125 pounds.

Triscuit Bruschetta Bites

Ingredients

2 medium tomatoes

24 crackers TRISCUIT Crackers

1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

PREP: 20 minutes / COOK: 8 to 10 minutes / BAKE: 375 / SERVES: 6 to 8

1Preheat oven to 375°F. Arrange crackers on foil-lined baking sheet. Top each cracker with some of the chopped tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and Italian seasoning. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and tomatoes are heated through.

Here's a good idea:

Made Cowboy Caviar from Sparkpeople recipes - healthy with black beans, corn, cilantro, onion, etc. and served with multigrain chips! Fruit and veggies are always good too.

Ditto the frozen fruit! I keep cut veggies on hand for quick snacks when I get home from work while preparing dinner. Also love Kashi bars (cherry dark chocolate is amazing!) and the Lara and Luna Bars, and low sodium trail mixes or nut mixes with dried fruit. Glenny's makes a yummy fruit and nut bar.

Frozen fruit ... it's all prepared and cleaned and cut, and it's cold and refreshing. Very healthy =)

Veggie Straws ... They are like potato chips but baked, and are made from potatoes, spinach and tomatoes with very little salt.

Cinnamon Apple Straws.. like the veggies only made with apple and have cinnamon and are like eating dessert.
