Just wanted to stop in and share my favorite pre-workout snack, which is a 1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce. I work out after work and am normally hungry by 5:30 - 6pm because I split my lunch into two mini-meals: at 11am and 2pm. I have applesauce about a 1/2 hour before my workout and it gives me just the right amount of energy without spoiling my workout or my dinner afterwards.

1Preheat oven to 375°F. Arrange crackers on foil-lined baking sheet. Top each cracker with some of the chopped tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and Italian seasoning. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and tomatoes are heated through.
Here's a good idea: Sprinkle tops with chopped fresh basil when in season instead of the dried herbs.
Nutrition Facts per serving: 141 cal., 7 g total fat (3 g sat. fat), 13 mg chol., 255 mg sodium, 15 g carb., 2 g dietary fiber, 1 g sugar, 7 g protein.
Ditto the frozen fruit! I keep cut veggies on hand for quick snacks when I get home from work while preparing dinner. Also love Kashi bars (cherry dark chocolate is amazing!) and the Lara and Luna Bars, and low sodium trail mixes or nut mixes with dried fruit. Glenny's makes a yummy fruit and nut bar.
