Yaay! It's almost time for spring and that means it's time for a "new team theme"!
This should be a fun challenge. We want you, our chocolate lovers, to help us redesign our team! You can do one or both challenges.
This week challenge is called: New Picture and Name Change Challenge
Challenge 1: Post a new picture to be our main team picture. We are looking for a "spring theme" or "easter theme" picture. Many websites offer great pictures and some website allows you to design pictures for example www.imagechef.com/ allows you to design your own picture. That's how I created "Hold the Chocolate main picture.

I am also trying to get more oil. I have a 1/2 tsp in my oatmeal or orange juice. I am building up to two teaspoons.

My Weekly HG Goals that I choose are:
* Have 2 teaspoons of healthy oils (olive oil, canola, sunflower, safflower or flaxseed) each day.
* Drink at least 6 8-ounce glasses of liquid a day. The best choice is water.
* Take a multiple vitamin-mineral supplement each day.
Week 1 February 1st
Goals accomplished and Points earner :
Tuesday:
Oil (+10), Water (+10)
Bonus points:
had 2 servings of shrimp (+5) Huddle (+5) Post on the board (+5)
This challenge runs all month long, but you have the freedom to rotate what you do weekly!!
This challenge is created to acknowledge National Heart Month
The challenge is to choose 3 of the 9 healthy guidelines to do each week. Each guidelines is worth 10 points. If you choose to do more than three per week that is fine. Rotate or change the guidelines you choose weekly. Or keep them the same.
The 9 healthy guidelines follows:
1. Eat at least five servings of vegetables and fruits each day.
2. Choose whole-grain foods, such as brown rice and oats, whenever possible.
3. Include two to three servings of milk products low fat (1%) or fat-free each day. (or a calcium supplement 1,000 milligrams per day for adults up to the age of 50 and 1,200 per day if you're over 50.)
4. Have 2 teaspoons of healthy oils (olive oil, canola, sunflower, safflower or flaxseed) each day.
5. Ensure that you are getting enough protein by choosing at least a serving or two of lean meats, skinless poultry, fish, beans, soy products, and lentils.
6. Limit added sugar and alcohol.
7. Drink at least 6 8-ounce glasses of liquid a day. The best choice is water.
8. Take a multiple vitamin-mineral supplement each day.
9. Get in at least 30 minutes a day on most days of the week.
Monthly BONUS POINTS (You can add these whenever you do them for example checking your blood pressure, or add them up at the end of the month).
Each bonus is worth 5 points:
1. Lose 5lbs or more this month
2. Post in the Huddle once a day
3. Post on the boards once a day
4. Check Cholesterol
5. Check blood pressure
6. 2 servings of fish per week.Or take a supplement, 500mg of omega-3 fatty acids daily.
7. Limit red meats to once or twice a month
8. Manage diabetes
9. Stop smoking
10. Manage stress
11. Get 7-8 hours of sleep
You can post here daily which goals you accomplished with points added up. And if you like to post at the end of the week which goals you accomplished with points added up..
Top Three with the highest points at the end of each week will be rewarded.

Wish this had started on Saturday I had an entire pitcher of water at dinner while meeting and eating with some classmates from school, it is beginning to be like a mini reunion every 8-10 weeks. OH I LOVE IT!!!!

I usually eat 5-6 fruits/veggies a day, so I've been trying to increase that since I read about the challenge earlier this week. Here's how I've done: Monday--6 freggies Tuesday--6 freggies Wednesday--8 freggies Thursday--7 freggies Friday--3 freggies; (had digestive upset that cut off my eating midway through the day) Saturday--7 freggies Sunday--7 freggies
