I use a 2x5" notepad to track my food every day, noting the calories, protein, and carbs as I go. I keep extras handy and when one runs out, I immediately bring out another. I used to tie a loop of string to the bindings and hang it from my spice rack when the kids were little so I wouldn't lose it. These days, my house is less chaotic and I can leave it on the table without fear of it being misplaced (my once favored excuse for a binge).
I prefer to scribble it on a notepad to logging it on a forum, as if I do the latter, it takes longer and I am apt to spend all day online and get little else done. The tracker here is a great place to look up information on foods though.
