I really need to get a trainer so I can bike on non run days. Which, unfortunately, has been all of December so far emoticon I also ride horses, square dance, power walk when nice weather and strength train.

I bike, elliptical, walk and do strength training. Especially now that I can't run but will be back to it soon.

If you are a runner, it doesn't matter how far or how fast. It doesn't matter if today is your first day or if you've been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run." J Bingham

Many of you may have already read this article in the Weekly Spark on cross-training for runners, but if not it's worth checking out:

Are you doing any of these now? What sounds good to you, (and what sounds like something you never want to do?)

I was doing well for a while with getting in some nice long walks between my running days. Those walks really did make me feel good. I'd like to get them back into my schedule somehow.

We are also talking about joining the Y so we can use the gym - I think I'd like to kick some laps in the pool some times, or use the stationary bike.
