Nothing today-I've been awake until 1 a.m. two nights in a row and when the alarm goes off at 4:40 a.m. that is NOT enough sleep. Someone hacked my email so I have to wait a couple days before I can get back on and access my account so that will give me extra time so I can go to bed earlier.

Getting a bit overwhelmed about how much I have to do before going to Kazakhstan.
Today I got car tags, hair color and cut, filled 15 boxes with Hersheys kisses that I put labels on. We are going to a reunion for my DH. He went to school in Japan. I found these wonderful kimono boxes so we filled them with kisses with the school logo on them. Printed the labels on Word. They look great.
Also, paid bills and mailed them, did a few errands.
Tomorrow I am off to San Antonio for the reunion.

Hi all
Today the only thing I managed was looking for a job and going to my quilt guild meeting.
I have to step it up though. We are now scheduled to go to Kazakhstan for at least 2 months Oct 15. Not thrilled. I have to do so much to get ready and I hate being gone for the holidays but I guess I get money in exchange for it so I guess it is okay. At least DH and I work together.
I will be very busy tomorrow. I start out with getting my hair colored and trimmed so at least I will feel good about that.
Have a good week all.

TRAVELBUG deep cleaning ? I’m jealous. With all our boxes around there is no way to deep clean anything. Someday….sigh
ND a 100 year celebration, how exciting! I love good gospel music. I used to be in choir in high school.
KNUCKLES are you not going to foster any more pets? I thought you always had dogs?
CBRINKLEY as a quilter I pictured your garden with a quilt on it! LOL
GARDENS I need to do my spices. Some got shoved into the back and are probably outdated.
DH bought new shoes yesterday and they were SO expensive. SAS shoes. But, I told him he keeps buying cheaper and is always unhappy because of the comfort. I told him it is best to buy a pair he loves and wear them than have five that sit in his closet! So, today I get to actually give away two pair of his shoes!
Today I have quilt guild so I have to do the agenda, I will take the mouse in the trap we found this morning out to the trash. They are starting to come in to the house since fall has arrived. I have to go buy tags for the vehicles and do a million little things on my to do list.
Have a good day all Diana

I pulled my tomato plants on Sept 28th so I could put the garden to bed for the year. Still have to empty the compost bin one more time - tomorrow's project. I sift the compost, the finished compost goes in buckets to be spread among the perennial beds before I mulch them with chopped up leaves. The unfinished compost get spread on the vegetable garden and tilled in this time, as well as when I first empty the compost bin in the spring (in summer the unfinished compost goes back in the bin). Then I can plant my garlic and also cover the bed with chopped up leaves, which will be dug in come spring.
my latest foster dog got a permanent home this afternoon. Now I can really clean up his dog hair lol

I am hoping to declutter the 2.6 pounds I gained over the last two weeks due in large part to my move - lots of fast food, home ruled by chaos, etc.
On the brighter side, I have decluttered quite a bit because of the move. I still have a lot to do, but am trying to put out the things I love right now and will go through the other stuff when I am a lot less stressed.

Today I need to make sure the house is picked up and ready for the cleaning lady tomorrow. She does the deep cleaning for me and it is wonderful. I have been quilting and need to get all that stuff put away......
Suppose to be really hot around here this next week - predictions are 100 degrees in my area, but cooler at the beaches (95) LOL.
Can you believe it is the last day of Sept. already?????

TRAVELBUG good job on the weight loss.
Yesterday I spent the day cooking for 3 men DH, DS and friend, who were doing the floor joists in my new master bedroom in our little house. That took priority.
I managed to keep the dishes up and clean up the living room though.
Today I'm off for a 4 hour drive to GS birthday.
Happy Sunday

In just about 3 days - my paper and junk control has gone crazy. I looked around last night and I have stuff all over the dining room table, the kitchen counter, another counter in the family room. What the heck happened in just a couple of days????? Today my goal is to get all of the junk cleaned up - tossed - or put away. Sheesh (I turn my attention away for a couple of days and it it back to the way it was months ago.....) -------------------------------- Late afternoon - YEAH all the paperwork and junk is removed from where it shouldn't be. I even washed all my throw rugs !! Feels like major progress.

Good morning
Today I cleaned a little in my sewing room. Until a critter ran across the floor from my bedroom. I HOPE it was a mouse and not a spider that was that big! We will be setting traps this weekend. I suspect they are coming in since fall has hit.
I cleaned the kitchen and the living room.
I will be feeding DS and friend who will be helping DH on the remodels.
Just clearing clutter that has landed around the house.

I am working on getting organized in little ways. I have been cleaning out some of my closets. cleaned out some of the old stuff in the refrigerator. My MIL is coming in two weeks and the guest room is ready for her. I am looking forward to that visit. I had my husband clean out his closet, take out all the shoes in the bottom and vacuum. I feel like I am making progress.

Diana, love the idea of gathering memories. DH's dad only reluctantly allowed his two sons to meet him for dinner (with me and the SIL and one granddaughter).
Yesterday, I finished preparing the cubicle for the guest scientist, bought him a welcome card and mug (he is always so generous with gifts from his country when he visits), put together a short-notice travel package, and straightened up my desk. At home, I packed. We're on our way!

I am looking forward to the October posts. But in the meantime, I bought a pack of 3 Raid bug bombs. These are new and claim to use less chemicals to accomplish the same task, without staining, etc. I like to do this every fall, just when the spiders start coming indoors. I use one in the basement and one on the main floor of our home, then one on the main floor of the cottage. After that is done, I am ready to tackle vacuuming the basement. It's a start!

NDTeacher hope your work lightens up a little. Great that you are doing something about bullying! I’ve never heard of the program.
FRANNY glad insurance will be helping out!
TRAVELBUG as we all know keeping up with daily organizing is where we need to be to keep clutter at bay! All those little errands take time.
Celia I am giving my dad an 80th birthday party next month. I sent out requests for “memories” of him and I am learning a lot about my dad. It has been so much fun to read. He is going to love the “treasure chest” I’m putting together.
IRENO keep at it!
KNUCKLES I hope you can get reimbursed for the Spanish channel. If not at least you won’t be paying for it long! Love going to garage sales…hate putting them on!
TONED good attitude! You can get it done.
I’ve been away again so I didn’t get anything done except to make lists of things to do! I will be going back to Kazakhstan to work so I have to prepare for that.

Most of my day was spent on the phone canceling or re-scheduled ds2's appts for the week because of a cold.
Got a surprise phone call letting us know that ds2's ABA therapy would now be covered under our insurance! And was able to make those phone calls to set up those appts.
Also got a b-day card out- on time; woo-hoo!
All in all I think a productive day. =)

TonedTori, are you my twin? We have soooo many boxes, baskets, files, and stacks of papers. Makes me want to light a match. ;-)
NDTeacher, good for you! What a great project!
Still have that trip looming, so the energy to get things done was high. At work, I got most of the guest scientist's cubicle cleared of clutter and dusted everything. On the way home, I stopped at the credit union and took 3 pairs of pants to the dry cleaner to be hemmed. At home, after ST and dinner, I did 4 loads of laundry, paid bills, balanced checkbooks, tidied up the kitchen, neatened up some of the stacks of junk (no time to do it all), changed the cat litter, located a needed medical EOB to do coordination of benefits with insurance company, decluttered one hot spot, and gathered/sacked all the recycling. Tonight is dedicated to packing.

So I am purposely pushing myself to move this clutter out of my house. I have so many of THOSE boxes I put stuff when company was to visit. I have a found a box in the garage w/ papers. I have 2 boxes w/ old high school photos in my room. I have 5 baskets under my desk. Tooo many baskets!!@!!! SO, yesterday, I organized the laundry room cabinets a bit. Still have some extra stuff. Merged into the garage and organized the mounds of traveling bags I recently bought. Now our family room has a few mounds on the couch from yard sale finds, and other finds that don't have homes. The good thing, it's not so anxiety creating as it used to me. It still hurts to see it, but that is my motivator. I am out to KILL the PAIN!!!
I Pledge to forgive myself for the past & keep going no matter how many times I fall. I have the strength and self discipline. I will give my challenges to the Lord. I WILL HAVE A FRESH START EVERY DAY!!

ND, I feel like you...small things...a space on a shelf...a few square feet of floor space visible...it all adds up.
Yesterday, I spent time cleaning out the cubicle where our guest scientist will sit when he arrives next week. I had put out a call for anyone using the cubby for storage to get their crap, er, stuff out, or I would. I found old TV tapes that went back to the 70s or 80s, before everything went digital...no equipment left that can read the tapes!
Usually on my long day (don't get home till 7:30, then eat, then sleep), I don't do much at home, but with a trip coming up, I got a couple of loads of laundry done and at least pulled together the recycling. Much on today's to-do list.

no hablo espanol. lol geeze maybe I SHOULD to watching the spanish channels. The kid who lives with us (our mutual friend will know who I'm talking about) joking comment was "but how will I be able to keep up with my mexican soap operas lol
The "kid" I was talking to on the phone decided that she needed to switch me to "problem resolution" real fast when I found that out.
Now to schedule a garage sale in October and finish sorting out stuff to sell. My garage is getting pretty full of stuff for it.

Haven't been home the last couple of days, as we went to Pennsylvania to celebrate FIL's 80th (and there is NO WAY that man looks...or acts...80). Got home in time to toss in a load of new pants that needed to be washed separately the first time, then ran off to a couple of social commitments. Came home and did another load of laundry so I could dry the two smaller loads together. Other than that, I managed to unload my suitcase right away, which almost never happens, but I am finally feeling what I think of as "good" guilt when I let something like my messy, partially unpacked suitcase hog floor space for days.
