I actually got a sweater holder for the back of the door and put some of my yarn in there and then attached hangers on the side of it for my circular knitting needles.

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much A true friend reaches for your hand but touches your hea

I eventually found the article by clicking the appropriate picture as it flashed by. I think the most important thing for me is a) find a permanent home for everything and b) re-home what I don't use.

I've already made use of door space with various types of hangers. I just plain need to get rid of stuff.

I get BHG's e-mails and this morning, had one concerning the organizing tips. A great idea is to hang a shoe organizer on the back of the pantry door in your kitchen to keep kitchen utensils and small supplies in! This would also be a great organizer for the sewing room. I'm off to find one to hang on the back of my sewing room door to hold scissors, rotary cutters, thread, rulers, etc. Anything I can't usually find! I had a spice rack from way back when and no place to hang it in my kitchen. It hangs on my wall in the sewing room and holds thread! Perfect for that.

The current issue of BH&G is totally about organizing. There are even a few contests to enter to win some organizting tips. You can go online I guess and look them up.
