Hello to everyone. I just joined the team today, but I was looking through your posts last week, and this thread caught my interest. I have taken it up a notch and do 100 things a day. I can't count it until I've put it away, or thrown it in the trash, recycle, or donate. I can't believe the difference in just 5 days. I think counting things gives me a definite goal to reach. Some days I've gotten to 100 and felt so good I just kept going. Thanks for the inspiration!
I love the 50 things a day idea, and I put it into practice myself but now that I'm approaching a more clutter free life, I have less to purge!
Sorry for the self promotion, but part of me losing weight is not only losing body clutter, but also clutter around my personal space -- so I started a blog at www.optedmagazine.com to help me and others with my journey! www.optedmagazine.com
The Simple Dollar looks like a good, practical site. Thanks! Went to my husband's office today and noticed his desk was really cluttered big time with old photos and other "objects" that held no use except to distract. We de-cluttered his desk and he was pleased! Thinks he'll be able to concentrate better!
That was good reading. My 'problem' is magazines. I only read in bed and I obviously am slow to read a magazine and then get rid of it, as I have a stack on my night table. I will see what I can do, even one a day will make a big difference in a month.
