Congrats on the new FitBit!

I love mine and I just use their site for managing my steps because this one is so much better for tracking foods ect. It seems very accurate though and the battery has a pretty long life. I may give the Nike Fuel Band a try though. The casing to my FitBit is cracked and being help together with a rubber band. LOL

I have a fitbit - I think it's great.

It really helped me in the early days - it showed me just how little I actually did and gave me the incentive I needed to get of my backside by showing me how much more I needed to do.

I perhaps don't use it as much at the moment - I'm doing a lot of traveling and I tend to go for long walks or a run etc. When I do this - I use the GPS on my phone to track my routes with Endomondo.com or something like that.

I also have a Polar FT7 heart rate monitor thing - this I find VERY useful. It stops me from going completely crazy and really taxing my heart. It lets me see what I'm doing;)

So - use the fitbit. Let it show you your activity patterns and even guilt you into doing the 10k steps a day - you know it's what you should be doing anyways:)

Chris:)

Thanks, looking at the site more, there seems to be a lot to it. I can see how often I climb those dang stairs (18 stairs per floor, I live on the 3rd floor) and my mileage per day. I think I might like it.

An excuse is just a challenge to figure out how to do something different.

I got a FitBit in my recent XBox bundle and am just plugging it in today. I hate to be on two different websites for all of this, but it seems I can't link their website with this one and I've put so much time into this site.

Has anyone used it and does it work well for the step tracking? I'd like to go to steps done per day than mileage tracking since it was basically free with the bundle I got. Perhaps I'll get in enough steps per day that way...

What are your opinions on the FitBit?
