emoticon This was a good challenge for me! :-) I didn't accomplish everything I wanted, but I worked on organization every day. The best thing? My gym is COMPLETELY done now! Dh put the lights up yesterday and my boys brought up the two couches I wanted up there (for the kids to be comfortable while waiting their turn - I can't believe how much they like my fitness games!). The only thing left is the actual weight bench. The weights made it up there, but my poor boys were pooped from the couches ;-) We moved everything from the basement, past the two main floors, to the attic. I needed the ceiling room up there for jumping ;-) So it was six flights of stairs for those fellas! Anyway, the week was a success for my commitment to organizing. emoticon

Yesterday (01/19) I got in 45 minutes of Dance Central 2.

I actually got to bed at a decent hour and was able to get up early enough to do 30 minutes of Dance Central 2 this morning (01/20).

I think I'll try my kettlebell workout DVD or YSFE 2012 tomorrow morning.

Update:
01/20 - 10 minutes of YSFE in the evening
01/21 - 20 minute walk around the neighborhood, 20 minutes Kinect Sports Season 1

My daily Spark would be that I'd like to complete at least 30 minutes of physical activity (DC2, YSFE, or workout DVD) every morning. I've noticed that when I exercise in the morning, I tend to have more energy throughout the day (can someone say win, win).

Doing the above will require that I go to bed at a decent hour in order to have enough time in the mornings to exercise before preparing to leave for work. So, looks like I have two daily sparks I'd like to acheive, yay!

Okay, day 2 of organizing went great! It was kind of two-fold. I worked on the room that is giving me the most grief at the moment (utility room) for one hour, then I finally decided which dayrunner I wanted and just ordered it. That's been an issue with me for over a month now, isn't that ridiculous? So now it's on its way :-)

Then I gave JD 3 another shot. I finally figured out how to change from easy to normal - on purpose ;-) I kept changing it, but couldn't figure out how I did it. I like unlocking things, too - that was so fun!

Have fun, everyone!

Thank you for the tip on where to get it, Ryan! I made an XBox live account today, but that's as far as I got. I'm on here looking to buy points on Amazon. I don't need a Gold account to download, right?

My organization went GREAT today! I didn't accomplish nearly as much as I wanted, but I plugged away at it for two solid hours. Then danced on my Just Dance 3 that came today! That's kinda awkward compared to the Wii, isn't it? I'm sure I'll get used to it :-)

This is wonderful! I'm a so pumped for this. What a wonderful way to get people moving. I'm really into this. It's funny, last night I was playing Fruit Ninja. She is right, that bonus fruit at the end can really get your heart rate up.

My goals for the week is to have 30 minutes of cardio 5 times a week, and 3 times a week strength training. I will be using Dance Central, Fruit Ninja, WATP, and other forms of exercise to help me achieve my goal.

What an inspiration! I love to see when people are able to rise above what "normal" people would let bring them down. Don't give up and find a way is definitely the message I got out of it.

My goal for this week is to continue my 'minimum of 10 min a day' of walking. I really do need to get back to doing my 30+ three times a week as well.

I was really amazed to hear she had lost 110lbs that is awesome. and that she kept at it even though she got hurt, just modified it so she could sit whille playing fruit ninja and still losing weight. what an inspiration. how many of us would have just givien up and used the excuse well i'm hurt and these darn crutches. but not her truly inspirational!
my goal for the week is to go to bed at 10pm, not fall asleep on the couch watching tv. that would be 6 hours of sleep for me. I hardly ever get that much which is sad. will update tomorrow. have to make the older boys mad so I can accomplish this but they need more sleep too.

Good point. I'll update that post with where to get it. Either way, you have to download it. You can either get it directly or buy a retail copy of The Gunstringer, which comes with a code to download Fruit Ninja for free.

There is also a free demo of the game to download. Chances are, you'll fork over the $10 to play it. Very addicting.

The blog is very inspirational. I downloaded fruit ninja this weekend and can't wait to play it. Maybe it will help get these arms in shape!

My goal for the week is to increase and stay consistent with my veggie intake. I'll be back to update :)

I love that vlog :-) I saw it from the FB page, too, and now I want that game! I'm not sure where to get it, though, can anyone help with that? I'll check Amazon later.

Anyway, that's wonderful! She lost 110 pounds having fun! I agree with her on several points - I don't believe that she actually verbalized it, but she demonstrated the importance of joining a Spark Team and getting to know your teammates! They certainly encourage us to do things that we probably never would do on our own. So . . . I guess my thoughts on that are - AMAZING :-) To imagine how far she's come in one year brings tears to my eyes, and her determination to continue through adversity is a HUGE encouragement! I'm glad you are sharing her vlog :-)

My goal for this week is getting organized in this house, and getting it cleaner. I have many things I need to work on, but if I can get the house organized, everything else falls into place easier. The title of that book _Does This Clutter Make my Butt Look Big_ says it all! It really affects my life and if I can make it into a challenge, I know I'll do it! So, starting tomorrow, I'll be back and let you know how it's going :-)

In our second week of the 4,000 Microsoft Points contest, we are going to focus on the next chapter of The Spark--Fitness. Some key things from this chapter are: starting small and consistent, working out, eating right, de-stressing, and getting enough sleep.

This week, you can earn another 10 entries into the contest.

To earn the first five, set something you want to achieve on a daily basis. It can be getting a certain amount of sleep, tracking food, doing something de-stressing, or even walking to the end of the street. Let us know what that daily spark activity will be and come back here and tell us how you are doing. You'll earn an entry for every day you have complete that task (up to five entries). Hopefully you'll continue this spark for days, months, and years to come, but this will be a start.

To earn the next five, go to the article linked below: read it and watch the video. Come back here and post your thoughts. Do that and you've netted yourself another five entries.
