We do the gamefly where we get two games at a time and I told my kids I get to choose a game once in awhille now- lol they weren't too thrilled with me but I reminded them I pay for it. I have Once upon a monster coming cause evolved 2012 isn't available right now but looking forward to playing that one with my little girl and want to try the jullian michaels one. We have the kung fu impact and my little guy is already bored with it so kind of wish I rented it first. amusing though cuz it actually puts you in the game and recognized my 2 year when she stepped in front of me and looked like the zombie like creatures were coming after her

I got dark souls for christmas and got sucked into that LOL almost got it beat though. great game, but frustrating. so..my kinect time has fallen by the wayside. hoping to carve out some time to get back into dc2. i also have to fight my 6 year old for the xbox and my 2 year old for the tv.. groan
I like the idea of games as rewards, regardless of what they are. Of course with two of us here, you'd think we'd earn them faster - LOL. What I'm itching for is Leela (I need the stress & meditation stuff and so does k1tt3n) and YSFE2012.
"Go, confront the problem. Fight! Win!" - Edna Mole "You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation." - Plato
Maybe need to open a new thread - but - I'll do it here for now...
Is YourShape 2012 really a game? I sort of see it as having a trainer kicking around the house that I can use and plan in for 3 or 4 times a week. Fruit Ninja and other such is more of a sort of play when you will type thing. This sort of means that I'm going to use YS over the coming year.
I might buy some others - I'm not exactly a gamer.
I did look at Leela but it looked a bit too goofy for me. I can see how it can help folks in a mental/relaxing way - although to be honest - I'm not convinced. I think I'd get bored of it after a while - for me - there is no real challenge?

I hear ya. Normally I am stingy when it comes to buying games, but after I bought the Kinect this Christmas I kinda went nuts and bought 3 games at once, plus downloaded just about every Kinect demo on XBL. I am really hoping that Leela game comes down in price soon. That one just looks cool!
And then of course there's that Kung Fu game, and the Kinect Sports games, and even Mass Effect 3 in a couple months (though I'm pretty sure all you use the Kinect for with that is to yell at Garrus).
I totally agree with you KIMINOR...so many games so little time! CHRISMELLOR...that's a great idea about using a new game as a reward.
I tried the Kung Fu High Impact demo and then bought the game. I haven't tried the full game yet, but the demo was pretty funny and I got some good exercise. I have a suspicion that the game is pretty simple and maybe not worth the full price I paid $39.95? But if it helps get me moving, it's worth it to me. I like the variety of a lot of different games.
Don't make excuses...make Choices! Discipline is just remembering what you really want! Strive for progress, not perfection!

That's a great idea, that's kind of what I'm doing with the fitness games. After I finished all my goals on Your Shape 2011, I went and got UFC Fitness. When I finish that one, I'm hoping for another fighting-based workout game. :D
But: I do have my fun ones to play as well, such as Rise of Nightmares and Fruit Ninja. There's free games/apps in the Kinect Fun Labs also.

I want them all.. well almost We have adventure, your shape 2012, carnival. Kinect sports, Rise of Nightmares. On the way is GunSlinger with Fruit Ninja and Blackwater I would like at least one of the dance ones but haven't decided yet. Have you seen the demo for Kung Fu High Impact?!? I must have it lol I had planned to get one game a month but I'm already over for this month. I'm having such a good time and turning into something less like a couch potato
