Merry Meet!! I thought i was the only wiccan here :)
LOL Love your story!! the califlower brain was genius. wish i had thought of it. I am smack down in the middle of the bible belt lol... so i have to temper my humorous side. people her get offended by zombie dorothies and brains in bowls.

But i love the area.. too bad we are moving.. :)

Thanks, MrsWally! My three kids are 8 to 10 years apart so I've been trick or treating with them every year for the past 25 years! I love Halloween. I also love seeing dogs in costumes! The bumblebee sounds really cute!!

Unfortunately I did not dress up this year. We were allowed to dress up this year for work but it seemed like it snuck up on me. I did dress up the dog though, he was a Bumblebee this year.

TIMLINLUVER ~ looks like you had lots of fun for Halloween and really know how to celebrate it. It is good to know others enjoy the day too. By the way your daughter was soo cute. Awesome job.

LOL about the "I am not a witch" pin!! ha ha. And... I bet those DR. Who costumes were all awesome! I wanna see! Post pics! Please. =) Excellent suggestion about the candy being used as stocking stuffers, too! I also was on a budget. Last year Grace went as regular Dorthy. Everyone loved that costume. She's about to outgrow it so we recycled it and splashed fake blood all over it. =)

TIMLINLUVER - that's AWESOME (even if it is the z-word...shudders). My 17 y/o dtr was a fallen angel. My 11 y/o son was a brain donor (head wrapped with bloody gauze and carried a cauliflower in a vat of fruit punch...won a contest for grossest cuz he drank the fruit punch! I dressed as a witchy pre-school teacher with the clothes in my closet. Was funny because 1) I'm Pagan 2) I went to school to be a pre-school teacher but dropped out when I got pregnant with my daughter and 3) last year I dressed as Christine O'Donnell, complete with a pin that said "I am NOT a witch!" At my party they were calling my husband a pre-school teacher molester.

We went to two Halloween parties. The first one I went as Snow White. The next night I was dressed as a weeping angel from the Doctor Who TV series.

We did Halloween on a budget this year, but had a lot of fun anyway.

My daughter (2.5) picked clothes out of the dress up box (which she's about to our grown, anyway), and went as a fairy princess. My son (14 months) was a pumpkin, in a costume Grandma gave us after Halloween last year - that fit perfectly this year! Yay Grandma!

My husband and I are RenFaire junkies, so we had no shortage of costume clothes to wear, lol.

I didn't skimp on buying candy though - bought the good stuff! but then we didn't get a lot of trick or treaters - our street was mostly dark, and we're at the end. So my husband gets to eat it, as I'm on a strict ration of one candy a day. Or else we'll stuff Christmas stockings with it!

That sounds cute and creative. My step daughter went as an evil alice, but so far I have no pictures she was at her other home for Halloween. I made stuff for her too, so I know she looked cute. I think some people forget it should be a little scary.

I did not dress up but my daughter (age 7) went as Zombie Dorothy. It didn't go over too well in our "Suburgatory" neighborhood! (ha ha). You should have seen the looks I was getting from the other mothers. It was a Haunted Halloween Hike, ladies!! Not a Princess Walk! Geez... ha ha. I will post a blog later and show you a picture.
