Woo hoo! I just finished day 3 of week 1 of the walk/run training. I improved on my 15 minute mile. I went 2.08 miles. That is a 14-minute mile! I'm really glad I didn't start this in the middle of the summer. The weather is perfect right now. I think it's in the 60's out there. I'd never make it in the summer we are just getting through!
I did day 2 of my walk/jog training without Grace this morning. I improved a lot so I'm blaming her for day 1. ha ha. Just kidding... but... I went 1.7 miles today which equals a 15 minute mile. Yay! That's the most I was hoping for! Of course I'm drenched right now. I was thinking it was the humidity outside! I'm psyched and it's only day 2!
You and I are in this together, Mrs Wally! I don't like running but yesterday wasn't too bad. I agree... fastforwarding to the lots of jogging to one minute of walking is killing me to think about... but I'm trying not to think about it. =)
You can do it, Moto!! Woo! I didn't do too badly on my first day of training. I definitely did leave room for improvement! We had a good time walking/jogging around the park even though I kept yelling... IT'S A JOG! NOT A RUN!! ha ha. She wants to go again tomorrow. That's a possibility as it is supposed to rain on Thursday!
I signed up for the walk/jog race and am a little nervous. For some reason, I was thinking you could either walk or jog it. Yikes! I downloaded the training schedule and am trying to psych myself up. I plan on bringing my daughter to the park after work and go for it. I think I can walk the four minutes and jog the one minute (repeat...). Woo! I'm going to try!!

I am going to try it although I'm not eligible for prizes as I'm not from the US. I did a 5K walk event last week and I think I want to try the virtual 5K run. Looks like I'll be doing some training for it now.
