My husband has been looking at this game. We both really like the musical aspect and it's definitely different than a lot of games out there. Maybe we'll rent it sometime.

lol, I finally changed the name of the game here on the forum. haha, had "garden of eden".
That is what I'm thinking, might have to find this on sale and go for it. Kind of like one of those games like Joy Ride, where it is fun but won't hold me for hours and hours.

(Note: Rez was one of my favorite PS2 games, so I may be biased.)
Child of Eden is pretty fantastic. The motion controls suit the game very well once you spend about 5 minutes getting the gestures down. It is also one of the most fun games to watch someone else play, it's like art.
I picked it up on sale for $33, and unless you're a Rez fan, I'd say it's a $20-25 game. I can play through it forever or so, but the game doesn't offer any great incentives to do so.

I am intrigued.

I'm really tempted by this game. Is there a lot of replay value to it? It seems like a soothing way to be a little active. Kind of like meditation or something.
How are the controls w/ Kinect? Frustrating or smooth?
And if it is like Rez, then yeah...everything flows and scores better when done to the beat of the music.

I though this was called Child of Eden?

One tip that helped me was to explode enemies to the beat of the music and try to explode the max on the beat for even more points.
I picked it up yesterday while I was out getting UFC trainer. I keep thinking I need someone who's really got it down to give me a walk through because I'm not sure I got what the tutorials are trying to teach. The graphics and music are intriguing.

I love the game. However, I had some friends play it and none of them liked it. I would say it would be best to rent it first. Also, it is a very short game. If you are Rez HD fan you will probably like this though.

I'll probably check it out with my blockbuster online account after it comes out.

I'm on the fence with this. I enjoyed Rez HD, with the controller, but that was only $10 and downloadable. Sure, this will be much, much prettier, but not sure about the $60 price tag. If the play is just like Rez, but with Kinect controls, the price seems a little steep.
As for others that want to get a feeling for it, feel free to download the free demo for Rez. It is in the Game Marketplace, under Xbox Arcade games. You'll need the controller, but it'll give you a feeling for what to expect when comparing to these trailers for Garden of Eden.

This one should be interesting. It is more of an artistic type of game, mixing sounds, images, and body movement. His first game, Rez HD (which can be found in Xbox Arcade Marketplace...free demo of that) used sound, images, and the rumble feature of the controller. While the images for that game are a little dated now, it is still worth checking out that to get a feel of what to expect. That game was more about curing someone's body, where this new game will be about saving the planet or something.

interesting... i hope they have a demo for that one... because i'm still not quite sure what it is.. i'm not a major gamer.. but i can see some exercise in that..
Here is one that has been in the works for a while. Originally it was supposed to come out near launch, but now we are looking at June, almost a year after launch. From what people have been saying, it will be worth the wait. The concept is simple, where it is a rail shooter. Basically you are "on rails" and flown around while you "shoot" at stuff. However, the execution is much more. Check out the video below to get a peek at what is in store this summer:
