you know i just looked over and the xbox is on.. we keep forgetting to shut it off. i know last week when i was sick i watched a lot of netflix on it.

i'll have to look at the kinect games and see if there are any to download and try for us.. i'm going to do a little dance central and then some recumbent bike.. I'll have to start back with poker face so i can build back up to the harder songs.. lol...

i'll have to look for that auto shut off.. thanks for letting me know..

lol, yeah I see both of you on there a lot, but I think sometimes it might stay on. When you guys do sit down to look at it, you may want to check out the system settings. This in on the dashboard, under "my xbox" and scoll all the way to the right. You'll have to look at a few options, but there is something in there about auto shut-off. If you are idle for 30 minutes or so, it will shut off. This will save the life of you system and you utility bill.

Another nice feature is the auto-shut off after download. I will start a download and even turn the xbox OFF myself. It will use just enough power to download the file and then fully shut off after it is finished. Considering how many free Kinect demos there are, this is a pretty useful feature. The demos are free for Silver or Gold members, but you will have to watch the HD space. The new xbox either comes in 4 gig or 250 gig sizes. A couple of demos will easily take up 4 gigs. Of course, you can always use most USB sticks on the Xbox, up to about 16 gigs of that USB stick will be allowed. USB harddrives are not supported.

As for the stove, lol, I always go for whatever discount I can. In this economy, you got to look out for yourself and they will still enjoy any sale they can earn.

maybe this weekend kev and i can sit down and figure it out more of the xbox.. we have just been going, going going.. and i just turn it on to exercise.. but i was injuried for a week and sick for 1/2 of a week so i haven't touched it in like 2 weeks yikes!!! ...oh i did do your shape on monday and i'm still a little sore. lol... waiting for hubby to wake up we have to run to sears scratch and dent again because they found another dent in the stove we were going to buy so we have to check it out.. ugh.. do you think if it's not bad and i agree to buy i can get a little off for my inconvience.

Yeah, Major Nelson (Larry Hryb) is the main spokesperson for Xbox. You can either go to majornelson.com or follow him on Twitter. There is always some kind of "Deal of the Week" and usually they will have an area on the Xbox dashboard that says something like "recent markdowns/sales".

Now that I'm back, I'll also try to keep you all informed of any deals, etc. I find.

Not sure if you've noticed, but you can change the boot-up dashboard on your Xbox to a more family oriented programming. You don't have to boot up and see guys blasting off in jet packs, shooting each other. To change this, just scroll all the way to the right and you will see a box talking about family programming. Just press "a" to select it and it will change over for you. I've found you will see more Kinect oriented stuff this way too. The only downside is I don't really see the deals of the week as much. Could just be me though.

Has anyone else made the change? What are your thoughts?
