Well, it looks like their marketing worked! I thought because it was such a short blurb, that it wouldn't do any good. However...this morning a female coworker, who had ZERO interest in the Wii, came up to me and told me how Kinect was on Oprah. She said, "it actually looks pretty good". Then another female coworker walked in (my boss) and I told them the beginning price point of the xbox/kinect combo was $300 and they both perked up.

Looks like this marketing is hitting their demographic perfectly then. We'll see what happens when Ellen has it on her show next week. Oh, and there will be ads during Glee & Dancing With the Stars next week. The Glee one will be big because they are doing the Rocky Horror Picture show, which will probably draw a huge audience.

Yeah, pre-orders are sold out in the UK. Amazon still has preorders for the US though.

I think it's going to be bigger than ever....espcially if it get the Oprah seal of approval...15 days and counting

If you get a chance you might want to catch the Oprah show today. She will be getting a feel for the Kinect! Microsoft is rolling out a half billion dollar ad campaign and Oprah is the first stop. The Ellen show will be later this month. Also look for ads during Glee and Dancing with the Stars. Oh yeah, a small website known as "youtube" will have Kinect ads plastered all over it soon.
