HappyBirthday Rhales!!! I got a charm bracelet for my birthday with lots of little handbags for charms. I think my fella was saying I buy a lot of handbags, dunno about that - I'm just always on the lookout for the perfect bag! Oh and the kids gave me, well daughter gave me a cd "mum rocks" (?) and son gave me a book about steve irwin. I'm off on my road trip next week so unless I get internet access somewhere I'll probably not be on for a few days, heading off to Adelaide in South Australia. cya everybody, have a good 4th of July if I don't catch up before then. yeah, I thought it was pretty cute (& sweet).

How funny, TAILLESS-- your birthday is in June and your anniversary is in July, and my anniversary is in June & my birthday is in July (next week, on the sixth--- I'll be 31)!!!!

Tygh had [yet another] new aide start this week. This time it's a young guy, just out of college (if I remember right)... never even dreamt of working on helath care, I'm sure.
He knows how to shave (if we could, that would be a requirement for all of Tygh's aides!!). He trimmed Tygh's beard (hasn't shaved in a week). Then the charge on the electric trimmer got low, so they had to plug it in. So, he tried using a razor blade. well, the only gloves we have right now are size small (because when I bought the dang things from Costco, I didn't realize the two boxes were different sizes). Well, I have big hands myself and have a hard time getting small gloves on, but I can do it. Well, apparently, this guys hands are bigger than mine, 'cause when he tried to put it on, the glove broke!! so, Tygh called the home Health agency lafter he left and asked if there was any way we could get some large gloves, and they should be bringing them tommorrow. There's no way we could afford them right now, even thought Tygh's working, because most of our money needs to go to pay dental bills, plus Tygh is working hard, so he deserves to be able to have a little bit of money to play/ get fun things with.
Hope everyone is doing well, and has a good weekend!!

oh what a lovely idea for an anniversary, he must have gone to so much trouble. I had to pay for my own birthday meal LOL, mind you he did get me lunch the next day! Wonder if I can talk my dh into something like that for our anniversery next month. hmm

What a sweet thing for Tygh to do! Very thoughtful and well planned out (even if the church ladies did get the day wrong). Hey, that way you got to celebrate twice! What a great anniversary surprise!

Congratulations!

Gotta share what Tygh did for me as a surprise for our anniversary...

So, our 9th anniversary was yesterday.
My dh had said a few weeks ago that he wanted to do something for dinner as a surprise for me for our anniversary. One day last week (I think it was Friday), he just out of the blue says 'I'm going to go to Albertson's next door (to get the stuff for dinner).'
He comes home, with no Albertson's bag, and tells me that he couldn't use the food stamps card, becuase the State computer card system was being overhauled or whatever at the time. So, I though he'd paid in cash. Only later, after I found out he still had money, did he tell me that someone else had paid for it!! So, When I found that out, I asked, so, was this person someone we know?--- Yes. Now, did you just happen to meet them there at the store, or did you arrange to meet them there?-- It was arranged. But the little turkey wouldn't tell me who it was, because they had asked to remain annonymous (although I had my suspicions).
So, sunday afternoon, we're just started getting dinner ready ( i had just stuck some hamburger in the micro to defrost), and there's a knock at the door. I go answer the door, and it's one of our church friends, holding a covered pan of something and some bags.
Tygh figures out what was going on, and was like 'There must have been a breakdown of communication... you guys were supposed to bring this tommorrow night, not today... but that's all right!!
[He had apparently arranged with one lady to help him at the store and take the food, then this other lady cooked it and brought it to us] .
So, my annevirsary surprise dinner that arrived a day early was store bought lasagna, one of those fancy- schmancy bagged salads (with carrots, radishes, and snow peas!), ranch dressing, Texas Toast Garlic Bread, and a huge plate of a variety of chocolate cheesecake slices, as well as a glass of sparkling grape cider!! [Can we say, not very diet friendly!!!]

Oh my goodness, it sounded sooooo good at the time that we decided to go ahead and have some of it for dinner that night!!

Yesterday, for our anniversary, we got drinks at our favorite soda/ drink shop (I got a sugar- free vanilla italian soda), and went and saw Wild Hogs (Yes, I went and saw it again!!). Then we came home and had our yummy Lasagne dinner!!

Greetings from Oregon!
It sounds like I have missed some birthdays and anniversaries and a lot of health issues. Sorry I have not been around to be supportive.

It is festival time on the Oregon Coast and we are busy preparing to go to a 3 day event at a nearby town on a fun lake. We made caramel corn all one day and cheddar cheese corn another. We pop the Kettle Korn fresh and so now to load the 10 x 12 trailer and truck and move it all up there on Thursday. They will have their fireworks on Sunday. The view from the lake is amazing!!

Hope this finds everyone having a great week of blessings....if not, please know I am praying for you. Bud and I are doing great and life is good!!

Have a great 4th of July weekend! It is sunny and all is well for a very pleasant change!

Marianne

Happy Birthday, Deb!!! Hope you have a fun day!!

I've heard that many people who use wheelchairs have problems with their rotator cuffs--- I had forgotten about that. Thankfully, Tygh hasn't had any problems with that (yet).

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

After I dropped Tygh off at work, I went & saw "Wild Hogs". Loved it!! I think Tygh will like it, too, so maybe we can go see it on our anniversary monday (it'll be our 9th anniversary). And, when it comes out on video, I think we will probably buy it.

Becky

Becky- Henry's shoulder started hurting so bad that his doctor sent him to an orthopedic surgeon and we found out that his rotator cuff was messed up. They said they could either give him a shot or do surgery. He went to a physical therapist a few times and his shoulder is much better, it does still hurt once in a while, but noting like it did. And in answer to you question about gloves, we have to pay for them ourselves. Medicaid won't pay for his either.

Thanks, Lynn. I hope he gets feeling better too!

Question for those of you who who, like me, live with the person you take care of...

Do you have to pay for gloves yourself? We have to pay for ours ourselves. Medicaide (state health insurance here in the US) has never paid for them. But I've know other people who were on Medicaide and Medicaide paid for their gloves.

This question came about becuase Tygh's aide used 3-4 pairs of gloves this morning, and all she did was wash his hair with the no- rinse shampoo, change his clothes, and give hima sponge bath.
Even with Tygh working, our budget is going to be tight for a while because we have to pay off Tygh's 400$ Dental bill ASAP, so don't know if we can afford to get more gloves.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Tygh's shoulder has still been bothering him, so yesterday afternoon I took him in to see his GP. She believes that he has a pinched nerve. Since ice & pain meds weren't working, they gave him some shots that took away the pain for the rest of the day, and some different pain meds to take for the next while. If the shots still doesn't resolve the problem, they will do a CT scan to find where the pinched nerve is. And, at some point, Tygh will get to do PT on his arm.

LOL Becky, we're not all rich enough to live on the gold coast!! Where I live in central Victoria, we get a lot of frosts every winter. Near the coast its not as frosty but severe weather (did any of you see the pictures of the tanker beached up NSW a couple of weeks ago? They had high seas and floods up there) I think its averaged about 11c every day this week, which in your temp is (I think) about 50. The only thing we don't tend to get is snow. Think its snowed on the outskirts of my town once in the 25 years I've lived here. Anyway, I'm going to go brave the chill and get some cat food for my babies, so I'll see you all later, Deb

Made it really fun for me driving home, becuase my vans A/c doesn't work, and I also was feeling horrible thanks to PMS. i was very happy to get home to an air conditioned house and some pain meds!!

Have a great day, ladies!!

Gidday, haven't been to SA yet, but so looking forward to it, spoke to both one of my cousins (via email and txt) and my aunty (the only one left on my dad's side - one of the reasons I really want to go over there) and they're all looking forward to us coming over. Its going to be a bit of a road trip, I'll go as far as Bordertown (on the border of Victoria and SA lol!) the first day, then Adelaide the second, I'm taking it easy but you could do it in one day - think its about 9 hours. Spend a few days there and then a couple of days in Clare, where my Aunty lives (about 1 or 2 hours from Adelaide) and meeting up with my cousins a bit further north from there. Its real wine country, especially in the Clare valley and the Barossa, and there's a chocolate factory in Adelaide itself, not to mention heaps of cafes, and fruit/orange/grape orchards as we come back home through Mildura. Not much hope of being good while I'm away I fear!!

Yes we've had some rain, had a fair bit last month but not a lot to date this month although it did rain today. Its been cold and frosty mornings though, time to scrape the frost off the car in the morning! Arggh I need a carport. Spose its nice and warm and sunny where all you lovely ladies are? cya, Deb

Good Afternoon Ladies,

Sorry, I haven't posted in a while. With farming, dad and the grandkids, I'm super busy these days..... is it Winter Yet? LOL I did go see a personal trainer and she set up a routine I can do in the early morning hours (since I'm up then anyway), and will only see her about once a week to make sure I'm doing the weight training the right way. I still put on the pedometer each morning and have been walking between 4-8 miles per day.

Well, time to run again! Take care all and hope you have a great week and weekend coming up!

Deb,
Yes, we had Father's Day this Sunday and went to lunch with our kids after church. A day of celebration and appreciation!!

I have been reading "MATILDA'S LAST WALTZ" by Tamara McKinley, who was born and raised in Australia. Have you heard of her and read any of her books? It takes place on a sheep station and I could hardly put it down!!

Please tell us about South Australia and why it is special to you. Have a great week off to rest and play!! How is your rainy season? Hope it solves a lot of problems with agriculture and nature.

See ya lighter,

Did you have father's day this weekend? We have it in September. We had Queen's Birthday weekend a week ago, meant a long weekend (my very first paid one yaeyyyyyy) but no more holidays now for couple months, think the next one is Cup day in November (yes we really DO stop for a horse race - how pathetic are we!!!!) Ah well, I've got my week in South Australia coming up soon. If I get online while I'm away I will tell you all about it, haven't been there for oooooo too many years (my Dad came from there and we regularly holidayed there when I was a kid)

Becky- If I need something that the store I go to doesn't have, I just ask the store manager to see if he can get it and 9 out of 10 times they can.
I'm so happy that Tygh's job is going so good. That's one less worry you have.

Tygh probably wouldn't have been able to lie on the bed to do that (hasn't been able to sleep on one for 3 weeks, poor guy- he's had to sleep sitting up on the couch), but that is a good idea, Vicki.

Thursday morning, Tygh was saying to his aide that he wanted to wash his hair, but wasn't sure if he could or how. I remembered that we used to have a bottle of no- rinse shampoo just for times like this, so I said, why not use the no- rinse shampoo, if I can find it? I searched all over the house, to no avail. I had to go to Walgreens anywho, so I looked for it there. I even ended up having one of the managers looking as well. Nothing. I call Rite Aide (another pharmacy)-- nothing. It was actually a Rite Aide that Tygh had gotten it from before.I called one of the hospital pharmacies here... nothing. I finally had to look online to see if ANY places here would have it. It suggested a beauty supply store. I went to Sally Beauty supply, and they had it!!
I really can't understand why two pharmacies & one hospital pharmacy here wouldn't have it (especially since I'm sure they use it in that hospital!!). I know that trying to find the stuff was rather stressing for me, I can only imagine what it would be like for someone who's trying to get everything ready for someone who's newly bedridden. If I were in that position, I wouldn't have the time to waste looking around a pharmacy for 1/2 hour just to find out they don't have it (especailly since they have a whole isle FULL of hair care products, so it's not like they don't have room for this one little thing!!), which means I have to figure out where someone sells it & take another trip all the way to to that store just for one thing.
I'm thinking of writing a letter to these pharmacy companies, because I really think they should carry it, just so people in my and similar situations don't have to waste a lot of time and gas and go all over creation just to get it.
When I looked online, it mentioned that CVS pharmacy has it... problem is, the closest one is probably an hour away. Walgreens is right across the street from me, and Rite Aide is only a mile up the street.

Tygh's last day of training was yesterday. He really had a good time this whole week. The director likes Tygh, and everyone of the employees seem to get along. Tygh's first shift will be tomoorw night, but the students are all coming in tomorrow morning, and there's going to be a BBQ for them and their parents, so we get to go, so we can meet the parents. Oh yeah, one cool thing, is that they will often be having activities, like hiking, rafting, camping, or whatnot, and if Tygh goes, I get to go becuase I need to be able to help him... I'll probably have to pay my own way fro some if it, but I don't mind.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!!

Becky

Becky- I shave Henry (he can't shave himself) in his chair that tilts, but if he
is bedridden, I shave him in bed and it is just as easy. I just turn him on his
back, lather him up and shave him. I can't use an electric razor on him, his beard
is too thick and coarse.
How is his job going?
Congrats on your weight loss. Good job!!!

I hope everyone is doing ok. Hope to see more posting next week.

Oooops, so sorry for the confusion!! I wasn't saying that people here hadn't noticed. You gals have commented about it before!! What I meant is that someone where I live whom I associate with finally noticed and commented!!!
As far as my hair, it's taken 2 years & 3 months to grow it from shoulder length to the length it is now.
As far as razors, he prefers a blade, and even with an electric, I think he'd still have to be able to tilt his neck back. I had the idea last night that if this happens again, we'd have him sit on one of our kitchen chairs, and tilt the chairs back propping the front legs up on a cinder block or something (and if we did this on carpet, the chair wouldn't slide, and we could just vacuum up the clippings).

Sorry I did not notice the weight loss....I keep my eye on the chart below our chats but did not see it drop....you might want to move that also. Congrats on continuing to work hard at losing!! If you are losing 6 pounds a month, we should be noticing!!

I am not familiar with wheelchairs or shaving in one.....can he use an electric? I have never had to shave Bud with anything but an electric shaver....and I am not good at it!! I am so glad he got the job and whatever shift he is on, CONGRATS!!

Do you want to cut your hair? I do not know how long it takes to grow back out. I lost my hair about 18 months ago and my dermatologist and I have not been able to get it to grow back. I wear wigs, so have short and medium lengths and a lot of turbans and hats to wear. Enjoy wearing it any way you like it!!

It is raining on the Oregon Coast and I am off to make kettle korn with our daughter so I can do the store route tomorrow. I am working at the homeless shelter tonight serving dinner for three hours and life seems to keep getting busier.

with hugs and prayers to all,

Marianne

Hi guys, yes Marianne, it has been the worst drought in years, compounded by the fact that its been going for about 4 or 5 years. But you know what they say about Australia "droughts and flooding rains" and surprise surprise, up on the Hunter River they've suffered severe floods over the last week. Even sweeping a whole family away in their car to their deaths, so sad. Down here we've had plenty of rain, but still not enough in the catchments. They are getting snow up in the mountains though so thats a good sign - hopefully there'll be some run off come springtime.

Congrats on your weightloss Becky, done well. I'm still not moving from where I was, like the chocolate too much I'm afraid. I am more active than I was last year though and I keep hoping that I'll get more motivated. I've got a step machine over at my fellas place (I'm there just as often as I'm home) and I get on it every chance I get.

Ah well, better get to bed I suppose, back to work tomorrow, cya everyone, Deb

Someone finally commented on my weight loss last Sunday. It's taken me loosing 40 lbs over 7 months for someone to notice!!

So, this actually brings me to a dilema. A couple months ago, I said that when someone finally commented on my weight loss, I would go get my hair cut and permed. The problem, is, right now, I'm liking and enjoying having my hair long. So, maybe I should save the money for when I decide to get my hair cut/ styled, and do something else (like go to a movie) as a reward for this time. Well, I would definately get it trimmed, no matter what, just don't know if I'll have it cut & permed yet.
What do you gals think?
I'll post some pics on my Sparkpage in a few days, so you can see what my hair looks like if you want. Right now, it goes to the middle of my back, which is about the longest I think it's ever been.

Also, with Tygh's shoulder hurting, he was having problems shaving last week (but has been able to do it so far this week). He couldn't lift his head back AT ALL. His wheelchair isn't one that tilts back. Does anyone have any ideas/ suggestions of things we can do to shave him if this ever happens again?
Next time he's due for a new wheelchair, should we get one with a tilt mechanism, just in case something like this happens again?

Tygh started his training yesterday, and he's liking it. His first shift will be sunday night (did I mention that his shift will be graveyard weekends?... oh, how fun!!!)

Hello Everyone!

I finally seen the post that there was a June room... oops, sorry! Guess I'm a little behind! Have been extremely busy with the farm and Dad.
About all I've been able to do is post for the food and fitness. My Dad's been having some bad nights so he's been sleeping a lot during the day. Daughter brought over the great grandkids for him to visit with, he was excited and loved it.

Have to run, will post more when I can!
Take care everyone!

I just noticed I haven't posted in quite a few days. Lots going on since then. We've had some much needed rain, but the "feel like" temp. has been in the 100's. Very humid.

Jenny- My husband is a quadriplegic and he can't sleep on an air mattress. We had one given to us by a friend and he hated it. Even with it fully inflated, it was very uncomfortable to him. Turning him was alot harder too. It may depend on the person, so see if you can try one out before making a final decision.

Becky- I'm soooo glad Tygh got the job. Will be praying he loves it and they love him.

ReRe- Sorry to hear about your co-worker. Glad you're enjoying your bike. I agree, you are an amazing woman and he doesn't know what he missed.

Knuckles- Sorry to hear about your sisters Fil.

Deb- Want to switch homes, I'd love the winter weather. I'm glad you've had rain. You're so funny. You'll still be the cat lady. You have a "Tom" cat. (Don't you remember when guys were called "cats"?)

Later,
Vicki

Rere, I think what it is is that guys never grow up, inside they']re still insecure 16 year olds even at 50 or 60. I hope you find someone special though, I know I did. I said to myself after Rick died that I'm not going to go out looking, I've been a wife and mother too long. But I also thought I'm only young(ish) I don't want to grow old and lonely either (I kept having visions of myself being the 80 year old "cat lady" of the street) Anyway, 3 years later I met someone (also a Tom) and we've been together very happily ever since. So it can happen. Good luck, cya, Deb

Becky - what great news! I bet Tygh is just ecstatic! I hope he loves his new job and they appreciate what a great employee they have!

ReRe - I was single for 9 years before Tom contacted me and did the dating thing off an on (mostly off, actually!) I agree - isn't it amazing that a 55 yo man can still play games like a school boy? I am very straightforward and never understand people who aren't! Oh, well, I agree - it is HIS loss! You're an incredible lady! Glad to hear you didn't let it set you back and you enjoyed your meal anyway! Good on you!!!

Hello All....

I only have a few minutes but I wanted to say HI. Congratulations Becky! I hope this job works out for Tygh and he enjoys his new position.
Nothing new here. Lots of things to do, as usual. I did manage to get out on the motorcycle for a couple of hours yesterday and about an hour today. I was supposed to meet a guy for breakfast (a biker I met), but he stood me up. Oh well, his loss. I just don't understand how someone my age, he was born a month after I was in 1950, can play these silly games. If he didn't want to have breakfast, he should've said so. My ego isn't so fragile as to be hurt by such foolishness. Anyway, I ended up having breakfast alone at the diner where we were supposed to meet and it was delicious.... emoticon

Hope everyone is doing well....

So, today I spent most of the day helping a blind friend of ours. When we're almost done, I call Tygh to check up on him and see what's going on, if anything. During the course of the conversation, he says 'I have some bad news... I won't be able to go with you to your family's reunion (in July in Oregon).' So I thought he would have to stay here for a funeral or memorial for one of his family or his family reunion (we were just told there a couple days ago that there would be one, but don't know when yet). So, I'm freaking out, and say 'why... what 's going on... what happened'... to which he said,' oh, becuase i start WORK on Monday!! HE got the JOB!!!!

Thank you so much, Becky! I appreciate the advice of someone who has dealt with the problem.

We are leaning toward the chair, only because he has been unable to sleep unless he's partly "sitting up" in his old easy chair. As it is, he only gets a couple of hours sleep at a time. The bottom line is that lately he spends more time in the chair.

I hope you are not aching too much from all your good work. Thanks again for responding so quickly,

WEll, Tygh didn't get a phone call about the job today, so I don't think he got it.
Our local foodbank got a huge truckload of apples donated so I went and helped make those apples into applesauce today!! It was at a local cannery, and I had to stand/ bend a lot to get apples off the conveyor to slice them, then at the last, I had to pick up the finished cans of applesauce and put them in these huge bins. I was there all day, so didn't get to the gym. Does all that standing, bending, and can lifting count as a work out? I know my back muscles are sure tighter than usual.

JCRICKET-- I'm not really sure I can offer any advice, but I'll share my thoughts and experiences.
We don't have a hospital bed, and just got Tygh's lift chair last week... and a well used chair at that. Tygh absolutely LOVES the chair!! Tygh only weighs maybe 150 lbs. I have no experience in how well these chairs handle a lot of weight.

As far as hospital beds, I would make sure you get one with an air pump mattress. These are much better for anyone who would be prone to pressure sores (and someone who is severely overweight and may sedentary would be prone to them). You just have to make sure it's pumped up! I've take care of a couple of Quadraplegics who had these mattresses, and they seemed to work well for them.
I think that a bed would be a good idea, but that's just my opinion.

Talk to ya all later!!

Hi, Folks emoticon

I hope this is not inappropriate, but I could use some advice.

DH needs more and more assistance to move about - especially moving from sitting to standing up and vice versa. We have been discussing a hospital bed and a lift chair. DH weighs about 400 lbs so we would need to invest in "heavy duty" equipment. We can only afford one of these this year.

Does anyone have either or both? If so, do you have recommendations or suggestions as to what we should be looking for?

Thanks for any thoughts on the subject,
Cricket

my sister's FIL died last evening. for him it was more relief though since he had been pretty sick for awhile. life is fragile.

as for me instead of going out for a glass of wine and munchies on my "free" evening, I decided to try out the kick/boxing class at the gym. KICKED my butt. but I managed to hang in there for 45 mins. not but for the first time.

Actually, it started to bother him again last night. At least he had relief for a little while. We talked to the lady that helped him yesterday, and she's going to come by tomorrow and see if she can't help him again.
I weighed in at 249-- down 2 lbs from last week!!

Yesterday, it was in the 90's here, but a storm blew in overnight, and it has been overcast and rainy the whole day, and barely got up to maybe 60!!
I like it cooler like this, because that means I don't have to use my air conditioner, and I don't have to sweat to death while driving (our van's a/c doesn't work... the coolant container has a crack in the bottom, and we can't afford to fix it, which makes things really hard because Tygh is very sensitive to heat).
Hope everyone is doing well!!

Hello Everyone....

I've been extremely busy lately. I think it's the price I have to pay for taking a few hours off on the weekends to ride the motorcycle. My brother has given me his "blessing" and told me I'm riding fine and can ride alone. So, I went out by myself for 3 hours on Sunday morning. It was great! It's a blessing just to get out of the house and have some alone time. And, I can't hear or answer the cell phone while I'm riding....
Someone I knew at work passed away very unexpectedly yesterday. He had a heart attack. He was only 42! It was such a shock. He was one of the friendly, helpful people at the hospital. I'm so saddened by this. It just reminds me of how fragile life is and how quickly gone.... It reminds me that I need to live fully in the now; it's all I really have....

I haven't had to deal with attorney's (execpt last year when I served on a jury fpr 6 weeks), but I deal with paper work for the government almost monthly!!
If it's not something for housing, it's something for medicaid. If it's not something for medicaid, it's something for food stamps. If it's not something for food stamps, it's for energy/ phone/ electrical assistance. If it's not for any of those, it's for Habitat for Humanity (we tried, and very likely will try again, to qualify for a H for H house). If it's not for that, then it's time to start all over again!!
Not to mention all the many job applications I've filled out for myself and my hubby (I didn't ten inone day once!! Doing that is how I memorized Tygh's Social Security #!!).

Tygh's job interview was today. He find out Wed afternnon if he got it. HE may not because they need someone with CPR certification (he's taken the classes, but they wouldn't certify him because he's not really capable of doing CPR himself... he would be able to instruct someone else how to do it, though.
From what he told me, he did impress the interviewers with what he would be able to do as a counselor, though.
He told me that the job they are hiring for is the night shift, and that there will be two people working the night shift. Therefore, as long as the other person knows CPR, I don't see where Tygh not being able to do CPR would be a big concern (but I can also see why they wouldn't hire him because he can't do it).
Well, we'll just have to see what Wednesday brings!!
As far as tYgh's shoulder problems, we went to an herbalist friend of our to see if there was anything he could do to help. Come to find out that TYgh's upper right rib was a little out of place, and that's what was causing him so much pain. One of our friends co- workers was able to take a look at his shoulder, figured out the problem, and was able to get it realigned, and Tygh feels much better now!
Talk to you all later!!

Hi guys and welcome to winter down under, no fair its probably nice and sunny for you guys. Its been fine but cool today but more rain on the way. Its been good with the rainfall we've had, but still not enough landing in the water catchments. Better than its been for about 3 years though, so things are looking up.

I can totally relate with all this talk about attorneys, I've had a "relationship" with mine ever since Mum's passing trying to organise probate etc. Its as if they're hanging onto any money left so they can gain interest on it. I'm sure solicitors must do that - put it in short term investments and say "oh we're still trying to organise bills and tax" or they blame state trustees (a government company that acted as "trustees" for my Mum's interests when she was alive) for holding funds etc.

OH what a pain!

cya, have a good weekend. Deb

it actually went pretty well. I ended up only having to get one thing more for her (address of who the trustee is going to be). I have needed to get this done for so long. It will be great having this monkey off my back.
