I have to admit that, as much as I like Jackie, I lost a little respect for her when she came out with the book. "Lose 10 Lbs In 10 Days"? Really? I didn't gain 10 lbs in 10 days. There's no way you can lose 10 lbs of fat in 10 days. Yes, most of it is water weight. Just like Phase 1 of the South Beach Diet. I lost 7 lbs in 2 weeks, and probably 4 of those pounds was water--I peed like a racehorse emoticon !

I do, however, have a flatter tummy & I LOVE that. The bloat is GONE! emoticon

I did well with the eating part of the plan. Thankfully, I like oatmeal & grapefruit. Instead of chicken I did either tofu or a veggie patty. And I didn't eat the potatoes, don't care too much for them, either. I did add a small basic salad instead, tho--spinach, & tomato.

Congratulations Michele and Maria! Sounds like it worth trying. I know I would be happy with your results. Sometimes you just need something to give you a kickstart.

That's great! Congrats! Enjoy your yogurt today :)

I'm down 6 lbs in one week. I did not follow the diet exactly...the first 2 days I did but was too tired and hungry so I added egg whites to breakfast and a turkey meatloaf muffin to lunch for protein. I also did not exercise at all last week. Towards the end of the week I changed up my dinner meals. I do not regret the changes at all! I did not set out to lose the 10 lbs in 10 days, to me that is not realistic. I also realize that most of that would be water weight anyways. I just needed a jump-start...something to focus on besides my awful, draining job.

So I am more than happy with last week! I lost 6 lbs, am refocused on healthy eating and found a new job (I start Tuesday!) and since the hours are better I will have time to workout in the mornings!

I will continue eating as I have been and move on to Phase II with my own modifications (I do not like salmon, or most fish for that matter). But my portions are back in check and I am a lot more conscious of my food choices.

I weighed in this mrng at 129.6.
I started at 134.
emoticon 5 lbs.
And I'm OK with that. I didn't really think I could lose 10 lbs in 10 days anyway. But I'm thinking I'm going to take today off (I'm REALLY dying for some yogurt!) and re-do it tomorrow.

I was reading some reviews on Amazon and heard about the mis-prints with the chicken allowance and shopping list not matching the menus. There were upset people over there, also, but some just figured out the correct porportions as you did. I understand the book is being reprinted so, hopefully, the problem will be corrected soon. I was going to order it from Amazon, but think I will check it out in a bookstore first.

Oh, and from following her on FB there were a LOT of mistakes in the book as far as the menu & how much food is allowed. For instance, the chicken. The book says 6 oz-I suspected that was wrong. It's only supposed to be 3oz. Not a big deal to me becuz I'm vegetarian but some of the people on FB were quite upset.

I will have completed it today and will weigh tomorrow morning. I had a couple days where I got way off track--a kids' birthday party and my husband leaving for Afghanistan.. I started it at 134. I know I didn't lose 10 lbs but my jeans ARE a lot looser & yesterday I was able to wear my size 8's, with room to spare.

Thanks for the tip on the summary, I have not been able to read through it yet, I am so beat by the time I get home from work I go straight to bed. :(

It sounds like the ones doing the book be it the food plan and/or workouts are doing really great. YA'LL KEEP IT UP! emoticon

No, not really. But I did Phase 1 of the South Beach diet, too, at the beginning of the month. I survived that! emoticon I miss my yogurt, tho! But it's only for 10 days.

I'm on Day 2 of her diet. All in all, in spite of the low calories, it's not too bad. Not really hungry. I'm not following the fitness part of it becuz I'm in the 2nd week of Supreme 90.

OMG That is too funny! I have glanced through it - peeking at the meal plans & workouts - and am hoping to start April 1st. I'm a little concerned about the first 10 day phase...it's around 950 calories. I need to read more though to understand why it is so low. I do like how there is a grocery list and menu for each phase.

And the second phase is salmon for dinner...I don't eat salmon so I'm going to tweet her and see if she recommends something to sub.

We shall see...

Oh and she has tweeted that the cottage cheese listed in Phase 1 is not on that part of the diet...it's included in Phase 2. So be careful, there are definitely mistakes. I have a summary page for Phase 1 placed in the middle of the workouts and there are no summary pages for Phases 2 & 3.

I was cracking up b/c after posting Friday that I didn't even know about it, lo and behold I get home checked my mailbox and JW new book was waiting there for me! I had pre-ordered it too, though I have not gone through it. Right now still restricted from the dr's from exercise until they can figure out everything first.

I just got it yesterday. I haven't had a chance to go through it. But I did flip to the nutrition part of the diet. 3 phasaes. I checked out the first phase. 948 calories, no dairy. Overall, it doesn't sound to difficult to follow but, like I said, i haven't really read it yet. I plan on getting into it tonite.

WOW, I didn't even know she had a new book out. I knew she had new DVD out which I pre-ordered from Amazon. Have you checked the reviews on Amazon or online, that might help. Wish I could help but I don't have this book. I have her 1st one and ALL her DVDs.
