eggplant juice
It seems to me that I had heard somewhere that you must salt and drain
the eggplant due to the toxicity of the liquid that comes from it. This
liquid may be what causes the bitter flavor. In any case, I always salt
and let the eggplant sit for about 1/2 hour before cooking, then rinse
and pat dry with paper towel.

Vegetable Juicing Recipes with the Omega 8005 Juicer

The Omega 8005 auger juicer is such a great juicer for vegetable juicing. This thing can juice just about anything. You can make endless fruit and vegetable juicing recipes, in addition to other things like wheatgrass juicing recipes, coffee grinding, peanut butter, pasta.

We also cannot forget that centrifugal juicers will decrease the nutritional value of your vegetable juicing recipes. That is because the fast speed of the juicer will create more friction and heat, which will cause some of the nutrients to be diminished. Also, the more violent juicing method will promote oxidation, which is the real problem when it comes to preserving the most nutrients in your vegetable juicing recipes.

Vegetable Juicing Recipes for Weight Loss
This is definitely in the top 2 reasons why people even consider vegetable juicing recipes in the first place. It is no wonder why though – people have very horrible dieting habits. The most direct way to resolve our dieting problem is to: (1) stop eating bad foods, and (2) eat healthier foods. However, all people have an inherent trait that wants them to always follow the easiest course of action. This is where vegetable juicing recipes comes in, as it is a wonderful and very simple action.

First of all, assuming you don’t have one yet, you will need to purchase a vegetable juicer. There are several types, including a centrifugal juicer and an auger juicer. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Centrifugal juicers are more affordable and more mainstream, though they are noisy and are not the most efficient juicers. An auger juicer is very powerful and great for vegetable juicing because they can get the highest yield of vegetable juice, yet you will have to spend quite a bit more. There are many brands out there, and prices greatly vary. One thing you must understand though is that when it comes to juicers, you get what you pay for. The type of juicer that I use is the Omega 8005 auger juicer. It is an amazing machine, and I have never been unhappy with this juicer.

So what produce to use to make vegetable juicing recipes for weight loss? Try focusing on vegetables with a deep color, such as spinach, peppers, and broccoli. Their deep color is attributed to the high presence of nutrients in it. Also, though it is not a vegetable, use grapefruit, as it creates a chemical reaction that helps with digestion and weight loss (I’m sure you’ve heard of the grapefruit diet.) Another fruit to add is kiwi, which contains a mineral called chromium that aids in weight loss too. Here is just one of many vegetable juicing recipes for weight loss:

Best Vegetable Juice Recipes
You have to eat your veggies. Moms recite this immortal phrase all across the country every day to their kids. Some of us could use a friend looking over our shoulder to motivate (or threaten) us to do the same. Of course, we’re all grown up now and we know that vegetables are important to stay healthy – yet, it’s still hard to commit.

But that’s why you got a vegetable juicer, right? It sure does save the effort of munching on raw vegetables and coping with the bland taste. It also saves the time of having to prepare your vegetables to counteract that tough bland taste so you can [somewhat] enjoy them. In the end, you get around the hassle by switching to the next best thing – fruit juicer recipes. Not that big of a problem, so long as you be careful before crossing over to fruit juicing.

There are reasons you should be juicing vegetables more than fruits. The biggest reason is the high amount of sugar in fruits. Most fruit juicer recipes may call for a wide variety of fruits, and the amount of sugar packed into them can deceitfully add up in one glass. Couple that with other fruits you may snack on throughout the day, in addition to any other sugary junk foods you may consume, and you are asking for trouble. You will definitely be getting a lot of nutrients, but you will also be getting a lot of sugar, which is especially bad if you are vegetable juicing for weight loss.

Another reason is that you most likely eat fruits in their raw state anyway. In fact, it is recommended that you eat fruits whole as to get the roughage that will help maintain healthy digestion. How often do you eat raw vegetables though? Some may eat carrots or celery, but what about broccoli or brussel sprouts? Usually, you would cook those, but heat from cooking will start to kill the vital nutrients inside.

This isn’t to say that you should never use fruit in juicer recipes or never cook your food. But be sure to mix it up a little. Eat some fruits as snacks and drink a glass of vegetable juice for dinner. Make a hearty salad comprised of both raw vegetables and fruits. When juicing, make a glass of vegetable juice one day, fruit juice the next, then a hybrid the following day. Be creative.

Tomato Juice
Are you looking for the best of all tomato juice recipes! This one is! You can juice the tomatoes in a juicer but if you have a high speed blender - such as a Vitamix or Blendec Blender - and you like more "body" to your juice, you might like to use the blender in stead.

Here's the recipe for your own V8 juice: quick, easy and yummy!

Ingredients
3 cups chopped tomatoes
1 stalk celery
1 cucumber
3 drops stevia (optional)
1/2 teaspoon himalaya sea salt
pepper
cayenne pepper

Directions
Juice the tomatoes, celery, cucumber in your juicer.

Add drops stevia if you like a sweeter taste, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper to taste.

If you like you can also add a 1/4 onion, fresh oregano and basil and red bell pepper

Mmmmm so good!

Directions
1.Wash the tomatoes.
2.Cut to fit your juicer.
3.Juice and serve.
When making the above recipe I passed the tomato pulp through my Samson juicer a couple of times to extract all the tasty juice.

Tomatoes are nearly 95% water, and can be blended to make raw Gazpacho soup.

Celery Juice Recipe with Apples, Broccoli, and Lemon
Delicious mixed with raw apple juice.

Ingredients
•3 stalks of celery
•3 apples
•1 stem broccoli (optional)
•1/2 lemon (optional)

Directions

1.Wash the fruit and vegetables using water and a stiff vegetable brush. Keep the leaves on the celery.
2.Core the apples.
3.Cut the peel off the lemon - some people like to leave this on but I find this makes the juice too bitter.
4.Slice the fruit and vegetables to fit your juicer.
5.Juice and enjoy.

delicious blend of pineapple and kale

Ingredients:
1/2 fresh pineapple peeled and cut lengthwise in slices
6 kale leaves washed
1 inch fresh ginger root peeled
1 celery stick washed and cut in thirds


Directions:
Fold kale leaves in halves and push one at a time through the juicer with slices of pineapple following. Continue until all kale and pineapple are used. Add ginger root, and clery slices one at a time. Pour in glasses2

Tangy, twist on tomato with garlic

Ingredients:
7 ripened tomatoes washed and cut in fourths
2 celery sticks washed and sliced in thirds
1 cucumber washed, peeled, and cut lengthwise in half
1 garlic
3 Romaine lettuce leaves washed
cayenne sprinkles in glass (opt)


Directions:
All vegetables not organic need to be peeled. Wash all vegetables before using. In juicer add vegetables one at a time and push through juicer add tomatoe slices, garlic, celery sticks, Romaine lettuce leaves folded in half and put through juicer one at a time and cucumber slices. Juice all ingredients and pour into glass. Sprinkle in cayenne for hot tangy taste (opt) Stir and enjoy

Fresh apples, jicama, beets and carrots will leave you feeling divine.

Ingredients:
1 Golden Delicious Apple washed, seeded and quartered
4 carrots washed
1/2 jicama peeled and cut in slices to fit in juice hopper
1/2 red beet washed
1 inch fresh ginger root
1/2 small lemon peeled


Directions:
Wash all vegetables. If vegetables are not organic be sure to peel. In juicer place apple slices one at a time, carrots one at a time. Add jicama, beet, ginger root and lemon. Juice all ingredients and pour into glass and enjoy

A delicious ginger drink

Ingredients:
1 lemon waashed, peeled and sliced
1- 7 inch long thick slice ginger root washed and peeled
water
2 T cardamon pods (break open by hitting them with flat
heavy cleaver handle
2 sticks cinnamon broke in pieces
2 cloves


Directions:
Add ginger root through juicer. Add lemon through juicer. Take ginger root and lemon mixture and pour in a large stainless steel pot. Fill pot to the top with distilled or purified water add 2 cloves, lemon ginger mixture, broken cinnamon sticks and cook on very low temperature for 2 hours. Do Not Boil Mixture, and Do Not Cover Pot. After 2 hours of cooking turn temperature off and add popped open cardamon seeds with pods. Cover pot with lid and let sit 30 minutes. May add honey to each glass as you drink it. Store in frig 3 days. May serve as a warm drink or cool drink

A great tasting and great feel good juice

Carrots, cabbage, and cucumber make this a super drink.

Ingredients:
4 Carrots
Wedge of Red Cabbage
2 Raddishes with leaves
Qtr Cucumber
1 Spring Onion
1 lettuce leaf
2 tablespoons of grated Coconut


Directions:
Prepare ingredients (wash and cut to fit juicer). Add spring onion 1st then other juices will help to remove smell from juicer. Add the radishes, carrots, and cucumber. Next add the red cabbage. Put 2 tablespoons of grated coconut in the middle of the lettuce leaf and wrap into a ball before juicing.
