You are correct, Grebjack - sodium and temperature/humidity can play a role in how our weight fluctuates.

Even whether or not we've been visiting the bathroom regularly is a factor.

That's why it's best not to obsess, but to understand how our bodies react to certain things; and work with it, accordingly.

Good plan.

I weigh in daily, but I don't freak when my weight changes by two or three pounds either way - I gain and lose a lot of water weight based on the temperature and humidity, eating processed (high sodium) foods, and my menstrual cycle, so as long as I'm in that range, I'm content. If I get more than four pounds from my goal weight either way, then I deliberately correct while the change is small enough to correct easily.

I weigh in weekly but also check mid-week when my curiosity gets the better of me. lol It has worked pretty well and I the only time I have had a weird weigh-in was at that 'time of the month'.

I didn't know there was an official site you could do the moving average.
That's why I have a spreadsheet with the formulas.

I got it from Everyday Einstein (I believe that's the name of the place)

For the first year, I weighed in officially every Sunday. Sometimes, I would check between weigh-in days to see how I was doing. Recently, another team pointed me to a cool online website called WeightGrapher.com, where you log daily weights and it calculates a moving average. I do like this better as it evens out the weird bumps up or down that you can get from an off day, or perhaps a day with too much sodium.

I weigh daily.

I need to keep an eye on my weight so I never have to add another pound to my ticker. I'm also starting to understand what foods add temporary sodium weight.

I use Monday as my official weigh-in for spark. That kind of keeps me on track over the weekends.

Do you weigh daily, weekly, monthly, or not at all?

In order not to obsess over one day or another; I found a "running average" is my best tactic.
I weigh daily - but put it in a spreadsheet, so I can see trends.

It calculates my weight (average) on last week, two weeks, month, 45 days and 90 days.
That way, I can see trends, rather than focusing on one day.

Works for me, but not for everyone, obviously.
