I love Trader Joe's, but I just moved to Colorado and we don't have one here yet. Word is our first stores will be opening in Denver and Boulder next year. I used to live about two miles from a TJ's, so I was a pretty frequent shopper. Favorites included single-serving trail mixes (especially the one with dried cranberries and pepitas...I think it's called Go Trek), their European style yogurt, their Greek yogurt (especially the pomegranate and honey flavors), and whatever fruits and veggies were on special. They have great prices on basics too -- eggs, milk, tofu, bread, cereal, etc. It's all their own brand and very comparable to other national and local brands.
Goat cheese. Used to love their pistachio nuts until they backfired on my gut. But if they don't on yours -- it is the nuts, not TJ -- go for it. Fair Trade coffees. Faves are the French Roast and the Cafe Pajaro. Extra virgin olive oil. Boneless skinless chicken thighs frozen so you can separate them individually as needed.
*** Addition, mentioned by someone earlier but I totally agree: TJ's Aioli Garlic Mustard Sauce
Yep, there I am, swimming through the desert sands. Might just be a mirage, after all. But this is life, and we learn best about it if we explore it, and take our chances. A life unexplored, after all, is one of the saddest things out there.
The fresh veggies and fruit, whole grain breads and steel cut oats are all good. I am veg so I eat faux meat sometimes and TJ's meatless meatballs are good. I know, not exactly a whole food but I'm still working on that. And they are really good with TJ's Tomato Basil Vegan Marinara over whole wheat linguine.

Where I live the TJ's has a large specialty cheese section with competitive prices. These are the things I consistently buy from there: cheese, romaine, hummus, coconut & olive oil, flours (wheat, almond, etc), nuts, dried fruit, chia seeds, almond/rice milk, unsalted peanut butter, pure maple syrup, steel cut oats. We don't eat a lot of meat, but they have a good selection of all meats too. It is a relatively small grocery store, but I end up spending a lot of time in there. They have really yummy guacamole & fresh salsa too. Have fun exploring!

A Trader Joe's just opened up near us and I was wondering what some of the favorite foods/buys were. I have a feeling that I will be a little overwhelmed when I walk in the place and would like to have some feedback on the products before filling my cart. Any info would be appreciated. I'd like to check it out this weekend. Thanks- Mary
