Good for you for keeping at it. I didn't know it would cause you to be cold. That might be my problem.

Tumeric has powerful circulation and anti-inflammatory properties. I took it for couple of years (naturopath recommended) but didn't like how it'd change my body temperature so much during the day, I'd either be really cold or way too hot... so I now just use the spice in my cooking almost every day. I don't like the taste, so I add it under stronger flavors like garlic, cumin, onion, italian herbs, bay leaves.... in soups, stews, scrambles, frittatas, quiche and such.

I've never taken supplements, but I frequently use turmeric in cooking. It's good in soup and in potato and egg dishes.

Started as anti-cancer regimen.

I do not think the political statements are appropriate in this forum about food. i was tempted to start debating it and said no this is not the place.

Hi

I didn't know you could grow turmeric, either. We've been using it almost everyday in something (soup, stir fry, meat rub) for almost 2 years. It is important to start with a little bit and work your way up. It is quite a new taste.

Thanks for the link! I purchased some tumeric, recently, after reading about the health benefits.

Have never thought about groing Tumeric, will have to investigate this to see if possible and how.

Used as a traditional medicine in many countries. Good fresh (leaves) and not hard to grow if you live in a warm enough climate.
