This looks good. I would still use the wine. For cooking I found a wine from a local winery that is just a sweet grape, no added sugar, etc.

Just a dork trying to get healthier. I can also be found at

I used the cheapest bottle of wine I could find at the corner market. I am not drinking a the moment so no reason to open a good bottle.

The soup is really good. I added a few Serrano peppers and it gave it a nice kick. I am loving it! I am eating right now.

I plan on trying your recipe. Have to pick up a few things, but not today. What kind of wine do you use?

I agree. And you can also leave out the wine if you want (I rarely cook with wine), and you can use fresh plum tomatoes instead of canned.

But yes, it looks good - no (or minimally processed) foods!

Sounds good to me. But hey....I am new at this also. Wine is basically grapes and fermented right?

I am new to the eating whole foods idea. But I am trying to eat clean and getting better at it. I would like your opinions. I am making this recipe.

How close to "whole" is this? Should the red wine be excluded?
