Now you have your starting point and something to work towards! It is amazing when you measure what a difference it makes. I hope you will have continued success.

I agree with not focusing on the scale. My scale was psychotic and I ended up throwing it away because it couldn't give me an accurate number. I decided to go by measurements and look/feel until I get up the courage to buy another!

Great job! Yes take measurements--just not too often so that you can see a difference. I usually measure about once a month.

congrats again, and ditto on cmelose's post. if you do the measurement thing, do it maybe every other week if you weigh yourself weekly. i tend to forget so i might end up doing it once a month.

but yeah, its helpful. all the best and have fun! just make sure to change up your routine about every 4-6 weeks to stave off or get through plateau a lot quicker, because your body has to adjust and if you don't change things up it gets stuck because its used to what you're doing to it. all the best!

Most definitely do the measurements. You will actually see more success there then with the scale. I don't do measurements weekly though. I do it every 2 weeks. I weigh in weekly though.

Congrats on the loss. I weigh in tomorrow morning so hopefully I will post with great news.

Enjoy the success when you have it and look at the plateaus as a challenge to try something new. The measuring will help during the plateaus.

Weighing-in this morning was fun since I did anticipate weight loss! I lost 3 lbs at least, since I think my origianal weight was 148.6 or something. Yahoo!

I'm already worried about my first plateau but I hope that won't happen anytime soon. Maybe I should take my measurements today to start tracking that as well as what the scale says. Do you find that helpful?
