thanks! i actually do try to read before bed, but my problem is i stay up late to watch tv, so by the time i'm ready to sleep it's midnight! you're right, i know that i function much better when i'm rested up... my goal for this week - 8 hours of sleep each night for the remainder of the week!

yeah, I used to do the same thing... it's a challenge but well worth switching out the Tivo/TV for a good book. Crawl into bed after ten and you'll be asleep by 11. I know this is helping me...

I had suffered so long on the sleep and overall state of mind/body- that I was very ready to make the changes. And I feel better already. It is a slow and steady journey though.

You'll get there, sister!

Thanks for the tips SKINNYPUP... I think my main problem with sleep - or lack thereof - is just not going to bed early enough. Believe me, I get more than enough fiber -- just ask my husband who has to deal with the wrath of my... well, you get where I'm going... :)!!

TiVo would probably solve the problem -- or deprogramming myself to not want to watch TV until the wee hours!

P.S. I've heard of the Salad Spritzers, but haven't tried it yet. I'll have to check it out.

Anyone try these new Wishbone "Salad Spritzers" ????

Amazing! low in cals/fat and you just spritz on your salad/meal.

The ceasar is pretty good!

increase fiber and I promise you will sleep better. There are great articles on sleep + weightloss here.

See my blogs on them. I merely cut and pasted it into a blog as a reminder to me.

I sleep so much better these days. Oh, btw, I'm off alcohol and sleep like a baby now.

See the article on that too (blog)

As to fiber:

Go with whole grains. My favorite is green beans and Ak Mak crackers.

Example: you can sautee the beans with shrimp for dinner, or toss in a salad.

The crackers- well, I top with tomatoes (roasted) or hummus.

Honestly, since I've made these few changes, I'm fuller, sleeping better and not obsessing over food!

Best of luck to you!

:) Thanks. Most days I'm at the recommended nutrition. I just find that a little sacrifice-once a week or less, get's me over the plateaus.

Trust me, I like food too much to go into starvation mode ;)

What? You mean my mini-muffin-top isn't HOT? $hit! I knew there was a reason I've been insanely dedicated to logging every bit and morsel I've popped into my mouth the past 3 weeks!

SKINNYPUP - be sure to get at least your MINIMUM calorie recommendations - you don't want your hot bod to go into starvation mode... then you won't lose weight for sure.

Yep, there's no time like the present to get thoughts into actions.

What are you going to do to get over the hump and into the strappy dresses and shoes!?

Me? Common sense. burn more than I eat. Admittedly, I haven't been exercising much other than walking and playing basketball with my son. I've also cut back on food altogether. I even went to bed hungry one night last week.

The play time with my son- keeps me grounded and happy. And it is a form of exercise. The minor sacrifice here and there on meals, has made a significant impact on weightloss.

Theres my two cents today. :) Good luck people.

Its spring and you know what that means? Summer is around the corner and with Summer comes hot weather and with hot weather comes skimpy clothes. No more sweaters to cover up my fat rolls. How dangerous! Good luck to the viewing public. emoticon
