I jumped in and turned it on - today is a fairly typical day for me fitness wise - I usually plan most of my meals and fitness ahead for the day and enter them in the morning... after turning on the new feature, it jumped my calorie intake almost 1500 per day - MORE... :-/
I will be keeping it lower, but something may not be right with how it is working...
I think I will stay with the 'old' system. The new one assumes that I am going to log in & track my exercise as it happens. Not going to happen here...I generally track mornings & evenings...not as it happens. I have no desire to be attached to a computer all day long.

Most weight loss programs allow you to eat more if you burn more...but that "eat more" is usually fruits and vegetables which have very little fat content (avocado is the one that I can think of that has fat content). So, in many programs you have permission to fill up on fruits and vegetables and still have the possibility of losing weight because you are not consuming fat.
