How do we convince ourselves that food is NOT our best friend?
I think if I can get myself to believe that food is fuel I will eat better, and eat better food. Might that help?
I also know I like myself better when I weigh less. I'm kinder and happier. I move more smoothly. Maybe the combination of seeing food as fuel and knowing we feel best when we are happy with our body is key. You are right - we know what we need to do.
I am having a great time in the rest of my life . I keep swearing off sweets and crap and by 4:00 eating them till I'm sick. Then I go home and lay around.
If having the information was key - I would weigh 120 pounds soaking wet., but MOTIVATION is key. Where do you get that?
THE ANSWER IS : YOU GIVE IT TO YOURSELF! You go where it is and hang out. You talk to winners at losing. You fill your brain with good ideas and STOP talking about it.
I find talking about what I am GONNA do, siphons off the energy and drive to actually DO it.
It is like telling someone about a story idea before you write it down. Then you get petted on the head for being so smart and funny but don'thave to do the WORK of actually writing anything.
You cheat everyone for a cheap thrill, but especially yourself! Much like "dieting."
I am overwhelmed with guilt and sadness yet in the back of my mind I hear "I am not ready to give up!"
I know that low-carb living works best for me, and yet I am such an addict! I don't fall off the wagon, I fall under it!

Second goal: 10% down -artificial nails.
Third goal: Kachunk! under 150. - reward: Ball-room dancing classes with husband.
Fourth goal: lowest weight since 1999! -
Fifth goal: at permanent goal - size 10! clothes off the Junior rack! - Reward- new wardrobe.
