Day two of getting back on track. I had a retirement luncheon to day for the head of the Master Gardener Program in San Diego. I went to the gym early this morning and navigated the lunch line with care. No bread, no chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, or prime rib. I just had a plate of greens with some cooked vegetables on the side. I did have a candied walnut garnish, a fruity salad dressing with strawberries, and horseradish on the side with the vegetables. It was delicious. I passed on dessert, but did eat a few more candied walnuts. Not perfect, but not bad, considering my choices. I even passed on the vegetarian pastry. It looked good, but not very healthy.
