If you having real physical hunger pains at night - not just emotional eating "pains" then maybe it would help to save enough calories to have a high-fiber snack at night - like maybe a low carb high fiber granola bar or something.

I don't usually get bored. I read - both regular books and Kindle, swim, do sudoku, play cards, watch tv, sleep, do work, etc. I am the Mom who told her kids that the only people who GET bored are those who ARE boring - an OBVIOUS exaggeration but I told them that all the same. I can always find something to do and entertaining myself comes naturally.

I Know its not easy cause i deal with that during the day so have to plan on exercise and all so i keep busy and dont have time to eat.. at night i go to bed early or read and keep busy with something .. it can be done.. just takes time

Computing keeps my mind off of food. sparking.reading, Keep my hands busy like crocheting or knitting. Or i grab a bottle of water and my dog and we go on a walk on one of Oregons beautiful trails. Chewing gum. I suggest staying away from the kitchen.
well, im on the same boat, i too am struggling with late night eating. But what im going to try is brushing my teeth after dinner, this way once my mouth is clean maybe my taste buds wont crave snacks. Im also going to try and replace my late night snack with a cup of tea or water. Good luck to us both

I just wanted to ask everyone what do you do when your bored. I eat when i'm bored and i would love ideas on how to stop the thoughts of eating at night because i'm bored i do ingore them i haven't eaten at night in about two months but i still get the hunger pains and would love any ideas on how to stop them.
