So I have honestly not been doing too well, with taking care of myself. I need to get back on track. It is SO extremely hard to do it on my own.
I love myself and I don't hate my body, but I do need to change. I am not healthy, or heading in a healthy direction. It is discouraging when I am gaining weight. I have not stepped on a scale in quite a while, I am afraid to. I don't want to see the results of my gain!
I have been doing better emotionally, but when I am bored I still eat. That is my biggest problem. : (

I do have to agree that is has to be water weight that I gained last week, because since I weighed myself this past weekend to today I have lost 4 of the 12 lbs. using the same scale. So I feel better. Today I got up and went for a walk, I walked around a shopping mall at a very slowish pace but it still counts. I feel good today! : )

With some injuries Im starting weightloss all ova again, and again mostly. Eating smaller portions and craving for the whole world right after. Which hav me eating extra calories at the end of the day.
Every situation is to make me a stronger individual.

Thank you all. I am just in a weird spot in my life. I am trying to stay on track with trying to be healthy. It is just very difficult. I am going to try to keep pushing and getting on track and staying that way.

Watch your sodium. Try to keep it under 1500 grams to lose weight. It can add extra weight to you in a heart beat. I can EASILY gain 10 lbs overnight if I have too much sodium that day. Don't give up. You're worth the effort.

The key is to find distractions from your stress eating. Syuch as stay away from the kitchen and don't bring junk into the house then when the urge hits go for a brisk walk with water. sugar free chewing gum helps many. Aroma therapy helps others. (warm bubble bath by candle light) crocheting and knitting or needle point or sewing to anme a few.
Dont feel bad!!! its not just what you eat but if you exercise.. or just able to move enough .. so dont get upset.. just know this is a journey.. and it takes time to learn all you need to learn and find out what works for you!!!

Please try not to let numbers on the scale and occassional slip ups distract you from the end goal of living a healthy life. You deserve to feel good about yourself and those who love and care for you deserve to have you around for a LONG time to come! You can do this!!!!!

That has to be some sort of malfunction! Or else a water gain which will be temporary. A 12lb gain of fat in a week is not possible.
Stick with it, small changes made consistently and you will see a difference. Keep active on the forums, join teams and you will get great support and advice. Keep going and never give up. You will get there!

I somehow managed to gain 12 lbs. in a week or the scale that I have been using has decided to malfunction.... or it was malfunctioning. Either way it is pretty discouraging. I know I have to get back up and do something if I plan on losing the weight. It is just incredibly difficult to not just want to eat more in defeat. Although I know I am not defeated and I can do this, I kinda feel defeated.
I don't know what to do or how to get started again, it has only been 3 weeks since I started using Sparkpeople. I know I won't necessarily see results right away but I just need to do something. I can't stay like this, and I can't keep eating when I get stressed it just isn't helping.
