Welcome to the group. I've been a member of SP since June and unfortunately have not lost much.. I don't have much time to devote online to the messageboard, but the recipes are GREAT!!! I like to try a new one every two or three weeks and I've found that most of them are YUMMY!!! Just keep reading the message boards and try keeping track of your food and water intake... I haven't had much time to do that and that's probably what is keeping me from reaching my goal... but as long as you do SOMETHING healthy everyday.. even if it's just a walk around the block it's worth giving yourself a pat on the back. We're all in the same boat (so to speak), so enjoy the ride!!!!
Hi Tater-Welcome to our group! You don't have much weight to lose to meet your goal, which is great! My advice to you is to read all of the great articles and tips on SP to really build a great foundation of good habits, and to take baby steps and be patient with yourself. Remember: You WANT food at night when you're watching TV, you don't NEED it! Changing our mindset is very critical to being successful with maintaining a healthy weight. I am new to Spark and new to this group. I am 42, mother of 2 kids and work full time. I am sure my story is not much different than some of yours. As I have gotten older the weight has been adding up. I am currently 152lbs and want to be 130lbs. Food is something that I find myself needing at night, sitting in front of the TV. I need to change my habits at night so that I don't continue on the cycle I am in. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday and I look forward to joining in on the topics of conversation.
