Is it the Marie Claire (sp?) thing? I read all about it on Jezebel. I thing the author suffers/suffered of eating disorder, so there are some body image issues, you just cannot take her opinion too seriously. It's still astonishing that MC would print it though.

Yes it is sad that people make statements like that. But, what is wrong with her, she must have some problem that she cannot deal with when she is taking her frustrations out on one group in a community. I blame the magazine for publishing it.

It is sad that people are so judgmental. We are all human regardless of height, weight, race, gender, or sexual orientation. I become sad by people like that and then I remeber that they are looking for faults in my life because if they took the time to look at their lives they would see how miserable they are and might have to do something about their own problems. It is easier to judge and condem than fix ones self. Don't let her get to you. Instead send a prayer out for her and keep doing what you are doing. sarah
No your self worth so when bad things are said they don't get to you. There is always a bully in the crowd they win when they effect us. Lots of people in the world don't feel this way. But your letting one bully effect your feelings. Love yourself enough.

I have not read the article but heard about it. Unfortunately, many people in the "thin" world are not aware of the struggles the overweight face daily. We are viewed as making a lifestyle choice that is unhealthy. For many of us, this is true. But for others who try daily to be as healthy as they can, it is an unfair judgment. I believe firmly in what goes around comes around. She will get hers.

Honestly I feel very sad for this author. Apparently something is so miserable in their life, that they find it necessary to attack others. I guess it kinda bugs me to hear that. But honestly someone with that kind of hatred, I dont give the time of day, so they aren't worth any emotion from me. Skinny or Fat, we are all better than that.

It would make me angry too since it sounds like she has a fat-phobia. It sounds like she throws fat people into one pile instead of realizing some may have health issues that make them gain the weight, or medicines that cause the weight gain. I doubt seriously there's a fat person alive that can say absolutely that they love being fat. If they do say it, it's a lie.
this writer said some nasty things about people that have some weight on their bodies . these statements said that we upset her when we walk across the room and when we hug or kiss our partner . she does not like the comedy mike and molly .It has two people who she judges as not to be seen by anyone . Her words made me so angry that i thought about getting a subscription to the magazine and then canceling it . If she had her way we as over weight americans would be locked away so that she would not have to see our bodies . I know i am heavy . I have tried on many occasions to lose this but for someone to take this side and not know me . judge me not least you be judged .How do these words make you feel ?
