Hi and welcome! I think it's important that you do not get too upset about the temporary setback.
It would just stress me more and make me eat more.
Just try to take a minute, relax, even skip weigh-in this week if it's something you dread.
You are doing great with the exercise and I think that if you just stress less, you can stop binge eating and the pounds will go off.
Good luck!

It is hard to make that first post - so you have already taken your first step to beating the eating beast. If you are having a difficult time, don't keep the stuff in the house you normally binge on. Today look in the mirror and tell yourself "I Will be healthy - I am doing this for myself. I will not let the stress beat me!" I am a terrible binge eater and I had to tell myself (and it has taken a lot of convincing)stress is a part of life and eating everything in sight won't make any of it go away and that binge eating only adds more stress. Keep exercising (running) and start today as it is the first day of your healthy journey. If you received the help you need here, keep posting!!! emoticon

Somehow you have to dig deep and say NO. I knw that is difficult. Also stop making that kind of food. If you know you will be tempted, the best thing is not to have it at all.

Hello,

This is my first real post to ask for advice. I have lost 47lbs. over the past year and a half...I was doing great, eating great, working out, feeling awesome! Then I started eating big again and since it didn't really show up on the scale I kept at it. Well, now here I am gaining weight again! I keep telling myself not to eat sugar cookies or that 3rd bowl of chili or cheese by the flippin slice, but the next minute i'm shoveling it in! I've started running again (consistently) (15 miles this week!) But, I'm worried i'm going to break even on the scale when i weigh myself on tuesday because of all the extra food. i need some advice. i am a HUGE stress eater and my life has been really stressful lately...all of my willpower just feels like it shuts off and i go to the fridge to feel better. i know i should go for a walk or a run or stay busy...but when i'm in the moment i just don't even think about it...straight to the food is all i think.

:P blah!
