I was so happy to hear other people have this craving, Ive been blaming the cabin fever....and my favorite ice cream is on sale .It was all I could do to keep from getting some last night. I keep on drinking my water and am now blaming hormones.Glad to hear that my beast will subside. emoticon

Thank you everyone!! It is really good to know that I'm not the only one that is feeling this way. Thank you for the suggestions. Reading everyones rresponses has really helped me. I didn't give into temptation. I just came home and Sweated to the Oldies!!! Now I'm getting ready to have some grilled cajun fish and some salad!

Thanks again!

Make a healthy cheeseburger with 90% lean hamburg and turkey bacon. Buy yogert and freeze it and add a 100 calorie m&m package. You just need to make your cravings healthier.

There are two options regarding committment - your either IN or your OUT. There is no such thing as life in-between.

A person who wants something will find a way..
A person who doesn't will find an excuse...

I think we all still have cravings. Can you budget your calories so that you can work a small portion of the foods you really want into your plan?

We all go through these stages. I am sure you'll over power it. Good for you journaling your food. Keep it up.

When you have cravings, your body is asking for certain nutrients. It may be salt or sugar or whatever. You need to pay attention to what your body is asking for, when and why.

I don't want to say 'give in' to the cravings nor to 'ignore' the cravings... but have just a bit of whatever it is. This part takes some will power, for sure, but I found, when doing the Weigh Down Workshop that I could have just a few chips or a few M&Ms and not down the whole bag. Why? Because just a few was enough to quell the craving.

Try this strategy and see if it will work for you. Also, fill your life with things (thoughts and activities) that are not surrounded by food. It will make a HUGE difference.

Another thing....if you do have it, you'll eat it within minutes & then next thing you know you will say that's it? Then the GUILT...o dear god the guilt.

MMMMM... That does sound so good!AND No, You are NOT ALONE! I think you're right about your reason for wanting it.I know it's not quite the same, but try to find substitutions for your fave foods ,or try to make what you like yourself, but better for you.I've been fighting my cravings by exercising when one hits,or like others said, treat yourself to manicure or pedicure(I do them myself , since I CAN'T afford them)A nice hot bubble bath, a chore you need to do.Check on line how much damage they'd do your diet, that sometimes serves to quash my cravings.Keep your mind busy with other activities, Writing (journal) , blogging, some craft you enjoy, and try not to reward your good eating behavior with food.Once and awhile, have a bit of what you like, But most times find substitutions.I do like a nice burger and fries once and awhile or ice cream with all the fixings, but not all at once, EVEN though I'D LOVE TO....

You are definitely not alone. I have cravings when I am doing so well and feel like I should treat myself to something sinful. Try treating yourself to something else, like a manicure, a facial, a nice bath etc.. See if that takes your mind off of it.

NO EXCUSES

No You are not alone. I usually sit a goal for myself and then when I've achieved my goal I can have my little treat..Funny how my treats are always
food related. By the way..love your quote at the
bottom of your post---I've got to remember that one.

Nope, I'm right there with you! I'm blaming it on the weather - cause it couldn't possibly be MY fault!

You're definitely not the only one! No one is ever the only one. It's like that little beast inside of you is really getting the best of you. Tell that little beast to shut up! Or at least tell the beast you'll give it what it wants tomorrow and then when tomorrow comes wait another day and then another day, until you have to have it or you realize maybe you don't really want it. I imagine this would be a cycle you would have to repeat.

Nope, you are not alone. I miss Dunkin' Donuts and I miss their sesame bagel with strawberry cream cheese. I don't know the last time I had one. I miss Edy's Butterfinger ice cream too. But none of that crap will help me reach my goals.

I don't know what it is, but here these past few days, I've really wanted all the foods I used to eat. Nothing right now sounds SOOO much better than a thick, juicy bacon cheeseburger and an M&M blizzard. They sound sooo good.

I've been working on my journey for about a month and a half now, and have been doing pretty well. I have had a few slips, but other than that, it hasn't been too bad.

I don't know what it is. I'm not really stressing. Nothing is really out of the ordinary, but yet I am still wanting them. I don't know if it is because I am looking at it as something I CAN'T have instead of something that won't help me on my journey or what. But I need to be able to get passed this.

Am I the only one?
