Hi Carissa, I know what you mean about the only thing on your mind being food. The suggestion about saving up some of your calories is a great one. I've discovered that making a smoothie really satisfies me. For some reason it seems filling and keeps me from eating everything I can get my hands on. I'm currently on a banana "kick" but all kinds are yummy (and good for you)!
I haven't lost as I'd wished to, but I know if I keep with the program I will. So will you!!
dear carisas, do you have any books that you can read to help you change your thought or knitting or sommething that you can do with your hands. tell yourself you will wait 15 mins. before you eat any thing may be healthy snack before you leave to have ready to eat when you get back. do you nail hands or feet. do crossword puzzle or sukdo. That all off top of head, except pray, that always works for me. Pat
Carissa, I have a real problem with late night eating also. I have found that the more I feel deprived the more food I want to eat! Mostly junk food or something that is sweet. I have learned to watch my calories throughout the day so that I can have my late night snacks. If I feel like I'm cheating myself on food, it makes me want to eat even more. I buy ice cream bars, mini bags of popcorn & the 100 calorie snack packs to have on hand for those cravings. Some nights I don't have to have anything, but just knowing that I have the option to eat helps me to stay in control of my habits. Hope everything works out and try not to get to discouraged!!!! Paula

One suggestion I've received is brushing your teeth immediately after dinner. I try dedicating the rest of my night to drinking water...one glass after another until about a half hour before I go to bed.
Good luck and don't beat yourself up about it, just start fresh the day after a binge and tell yourself that you can do it.
Today, I will be too calm for worry, too noble for anger and too strong for defeat. Today, I will believe anything is possible...I will walk through fear without hesitation. Today, I will stand for something. Today, I will make a difference.
I weighed in today and was up 1 3/4 lbs. I went on a binge last week and ate whipping cream almost every night. I come home from swimming and all that is on my mind is food. Does anyone have an idea of what I can do to wipe out this eating at night. This habbit is really getting to me
Help Please Carissa
Good Luck to you all and may the force be with you
