We all like to weight the least we can. It is just a mind thing. Honey...do what you have to do...to make it right in your head.....but remember...it is only a number...and you are so much more than that.

Definitely use the scale as only 1 way of measuring your success! Go by how you feel, how much more energy you have, how loose your clothes are, etc. There is certainly more than 1 way to look at your success!!

Lisa, those body fat scales are notoriously unreliable at figuring your percent body fat.
At the YMCA they offer us members free body fat percentage testing with a little machine. I don't know if it is much more reliable than those scales though-- my understanding is that using calipers and calculations are more reliable, and underwater testing at a hospital is the most reliable.
I weighed 193 pounds and mine came out to be 37.9% earlier this month on the YMCA's tester. I do work out and lift weights-- but I still would guess that either your bodyfat percentage, or mine, or both-- had some error in there.
My Dr.'s Scale is 10#'s less than at the gym. I don't trust any of them. I go by my rings bieng loser my close the way they fit, and i've lsot inches and inches. Don't get so discouraged aobut the scale they all lie.
So, today I went to our local hospital's fitness center and worked out for 45 minutes. My eight-year-old daughter was with me.
When we were done, she stepped on the Professional Health Scales in the hospital changing room there and said, "Why don't you weigh yourself, Mom?"
I thought, why not?
So I stepped on the scales and it showed me as being seven pounds LIGHTER than my scales at home. Even though I had all my clothes and shoes on, and it was late afternoon.
Tonight, my daughter stepped on our home scales, and it showed her as weighing seven pounds heavier than the hospital scales.
My husband says it's a mute point, because the scales here still record my weight-loss, no matter if they are accurate or not. I know he's right, but . . . .
So how come I so want to go and buy a new set of scales?
