WSKinetic - ROFL!!! I love your post about nutri-system! Not to knock anyone using the system, or anyone who has had success with it, but I don't think that program (or any similar programs) would do me any good. I can't afford it, firstly, and with family... I'd be likely to eat the NS meal and THEN eat what I fix the family as well!

Saw a commercial last night for Nutrisystem weightloss. It could have been titled, "how not to reach a healthy weight". The commercial hook was "dont be fat another day". Like we can all just start a magic diet program and be thin in a day!

GRRRR Media, They should get the "award" for how not to reach a healthy weight!

decrease my food intake and increase my exercise

oh do I hear you, figuring out how to fit in the exercise is not an easy thing to do.

my problem is that by the end of the day I am tuckered out, if I am to fit in the exercise it has to be early in the day. I am hoping that with weight loss and exercise that I will eventually get more energy.

This is actually where I have stumbled. When I started, it was so easy. I mean, 8 glasses of water a day, and as long as my calories stayed under my basal metabolic rate, I knew that I would lose. Then the day came that I had to start incorporating more exercise, and I fizzled out. It is my goal to MAKE time... even if it means going to bed earlier (my worst habit).... I WILL MAKE THE TIME!

-Remembering to eat lean protein and unsaturated fats as well as carbs.
-Keeping a food journal.
-Drinking lots of water.
-Chewing my food slowly.
-Doing cardio & weights 4x/week.

I take my dinner to work. Also I have started eating a salad w/ it as well. It fills me up. I am not feeling to well. I think my gall bladder is acting up. I have stones. Hope it quiets down w/o surgery.

For Me:
1. Actually follow the plan versus just obsessing about it and feeling guilty for every bite I put in my mouth.
2. Journaling what I eat.
3. Drinking 8 glasses of water per day.
4. Limit sugar and artifical sweetner's.
5. Find another way to manage stress - trying to eat it isn't working.
6. Exercise at least 5X a week.


Get it together girl, you got no one to blame but yourself...
