Hello All,

Donna, I will make sure that I say some prayers for your DIL hoping that the surgery goes well and she gets better soon.

I am so sorry for not coming on in a long time. I was having a hard time typing after my thumb surgery. My thumb is getting better gradually. It will take a little time and I have to make sure that I don't try to over use it. If I do that it hurts really bad, so I have to be careful.

I too haven't been sleeping very well either. I have only been getting anywhere's from 3 to 4 hours a night. My doctor told me to take half of my sleeping pill after I wake up. That way it will help me to get back to sleep. If I wake up close to the beginning of daylight then I shouldn't take it because it would interfere with my daily awake hours. I tried it the first night, I woke up at 1:00 am so I took the half of the sleeping pill. laid back down and finely got to go back to sleep. Before I knew it I was awake again at 4 am. So I guess that didn't work very well. I will just have to keep trying to get as much sleep as I can.

Our temps today is only 22. It is going to get colder tonight. It is suppose to go down to 10 tonight. We are suppose to be getting some snow on Monday night into Tuesday. I am hoping that we don't get a lot. I am totally done with this snow. Our yard is just about bare and all the snow is going away. I want it to stay that way.

Hope everyone is doing ok. Hope that no one is sick. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Hope everyone can enjoy their day.

Best wishes to all!

Happy St Patty's Day to all!
I slept well last night, I guess all that walking & getting a bit of a sunburn must have made me more tired that i had thought. Already got my housecleaing done for the weekend & now on my way to church. We are stopping off for Mexican cuisine after church & then home to do a walk in the pretty sunshine.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Glad you had a good time Marion. You have been a busy bee today.

Just had a relaxing meal with DH, prime rib, salad & potato, yum. Sure felt nice to let someelse do all the work & let me relax after being out in the sun all day. I'm wiped out. Now off to pick up RXs & a few things from the grocer, then I'm heading home to put my feet & relalx before bedtime.

Well DOH I forgot to text Jules to bring it so I'm without it until Tuesday, but you know what I feel fantastic this morning. I was up at 6:30; little sleep in time. Up dressed and out the door or the gym. Cleaned it. Did a half hour of strength training then it was over to the paper for five hours of overtime, plus I cleaned it!
After that I ran home grabbed my wallet and did the bit of grocery shopping I needed to do brought them home got them put away All my fruits and vegetables are cut up and into their containers for the week ahead. Now I'm sitting paying the bills and yakking my head off at you for a little bit. Then I'm gong to clean the house and catch up on the load of laundry then tomorrow I want to tackle recovering the kitchen floor!

The performance was Awesome! He truly does sound like Johnny Cash! We bought the CD!

emoticon Krys, spring is for sure here --I got a litte sunburned @ the Farm Days today. What was I thinking or not ---never even crossed my mind to put on sunscreen.

Just an update on Terry we just got. She has a gallstone blocking a duct. The drs are going to attempt to remove it without having major surgery. The amazing thing about medical technology today is great.

Dot, will be praying as you as dealing with your medical issues. I'm sure you will love your new tablet --my DH has one, he never leaves home without it!

Norma --you are smoking the #s off. Good job!

Just got back from FARM DAYS --Oh my my feet are killing me, we walked & walked & walked ---4 hours. Our 3 girls joined us & our 3 grandsons.

I have a special prayer request if you would all please keep my DIL Terrry (Weslie & Audrey's mother) in your prayers. She underwent emergency gall bladder removal on Wednesday, then yesterday, the dr said she had pancreatis (sp) & today she has been diagnosed with pnuemonia. She has been transported to a more specialized hospital. She's in so much pain.
Josh (our son) is trying to take care of the girls & visit with his wife, thankfully his MIL finally arrived to help him with the babies. Please keep both Josh & Terry in your prayers.

emoticon Hello all,

I am so sorry for not coming on. I got my cast off Wendsday and have been doing some of the finger exercises with my thumb. It is still hurting some though. The doctor said that it might hurt for a little while until it gets use to doing things again. I have to go back i n two weeks to see the therapist. I just need to take it slow and easy. I have also been going to all my doctors for my usual yearly follow ups.

My heart doctor put me on a blood thinner because I have a small hole in my heart and I am allergic to Asprin. She is only doing it as a precautionary. Then she also wanted to have me do a heart Echo test, which I also did this week. Then when I went to my lung doctor he told me that I needed to have another sleep study done because my Bi-pap machine is not calibrated right. I am going to have that one done on the 26th of March. It is only for one night.

I have recently bought myself a tablet. I got it for more than one reason. One was so that I could still read. Not being able to hold a book open for any length of time. The other reason was to be able to come on Spark more often. Unfortunately it has been taking me longer than I thought to set it up right. I have also been having problems geting my email to go out. I get my incoming email just fine but the out going won't go. I am going to have to call my internet provider and see if they can help me out. It allows me to be able to sit where I am more comfortable, like on the couch or in a better chair. It is my cheap laptop.

My weight is fluctuating and I am still being very careful of what I am eating. For the most part it is OK. I am not giving up though. I will eventually get to where I want to be.

Our weather has been really nice so far but now we are going to start and get cold again. On Tuesday we might be getting s,ome more snow. I really hope that it isn't a lot because we can now see a lot of bare ground. I would love for it to stay that way.

I hope that everyone can enjoy their day. Best wishes to all.j

Best wishes to all!

Norma, woohoo!! You are so close to exiting 200ville! Awesome!

Donna, seems you are getting a little more mobile with each day. Good for you on making such a great recovery, you are doing so well.

We aren't keeping the grands tonight, Lindsey already had planned on having a PJ party with a friend & we decided we would wait & get her & Brandon & Kyle Easter weekend, that way we can even take them to the egg hunt @ church. But we are meeting up Brandon & Kyle, Levi & 2 of our daughters at the Old Fashioned Farmers Day, should give me lots of walking time.

Donna B. - thanks for the info! I used the glycemic index when I was following South Beach but that was difficult for me to maintain.

Marion - hope the knee brace is helpful. How was the performance?

JOCONNOR - prayers definitely going up! That is quite the load and stress you are carrying; hope something gets resolved soon!

Elaine - while you are working, the guys have a male bonding time. Should work out well.

Donna B. - emoticon on getting those workouts done!

Donna - you are progressing very well it seems! Glad you are being careful, you know you mean a lot to us so we like to know you are safe. Weekend does indeed sound busy - have fun!

NORMA - I was wondering how you kept track of all those grands' birthdays! LOL You can do this and hit your goal of 199! We will be cheering for you.

Morning Angels. Not much going on today. DH is away helping a mechanic with an antique car he has been working on for nearly 2 years for us. We really want to have it by the time the weather gets nice. I don't know how long DH will be gone, depends on how well things go.

Tonight I am going over to the local high school for cash Bingo. The senior class is doing it. I will be driving for the first time since surgery. If DH is not back by then, I will need to get the knee walker down the steps and into the car. I tried it yesterday and did it so I should be okay. I'll be extra careful. Promise. I have been walking a little bit around the house with the boot on. It doesn't feel too bad. Again, I'll be careful.

Tomorrow we will leave the house at 9am. I need to stop at the bank and pick up some passwords as mine has expired since being out. I have to go to the main branch on Monday, my first day back to work, for some training. I'm going with someone else so he is driving. After that we will go to our son and DIL's then go with them to watch our GD at her swim class, then go out for lunch. It's going to be a busy weekend.

Hope everyone has a great day. TGIF!!

Jo-I hope you get some much needed rest soon. Does your DH needs help out any?Maybe he should, if he doesn't, before your body says "enough" and you get sick and have to rest. Prayers and hugs that things get resolved soon.

KRYS-My foot is feeling a little better every day. I clean it every day with a cotton ball and peroxide, then shower and let it dry completely before putting my sock on. I think it's looking good.

Donna

Marion - enjoy the Royal Arts show, sounds like lots of fun. I'm a big fan of the late Johnny Cash. He had a sound like no other.
Elaine, sounds like the guys will have to catch on old times. Enjoy your day.
JO, praying for your, you are under an extremely high level of stress. Seems everywhere you turn STRESS is lurking around the corner. Hope things get resolved to some degree soon.

Already got my workout done before work. I was looking back over my progress this week, I've worked out 5 of 6 days. emoticon Had my egg, spinach & ham sandwich for breakfast. This seems to be my best choice since I have to eat on my commute. Seems I have never have time to stop & catch my breath.

Hello all. I'm writing this post to ask for your support and prayers. I have a large amount of stress going on at home and at work. I feel as if I'm at a crossroads in my life and don't know what to do. Having some issues with the DH, my older daughter is being tested for a learning disability, and my 17 month old is quite the handful. Also at work management and budget cuts are taking priority over everything and I got a email from my boss tonight that was very upsetting. I'm still working full time 12 hour nights and can't afford to look at going to days. Most days I'm only sleeping about 3-4 hours before having to get up and function and most nights come back to work. I'm exhausted, my weight loss has stalled and I'm not able to exercise that much due to weather and my schedule. Thank you for listening.

Today my entire morning was spent out of office. It was a day of going to all the businesses and getting them to sponsor our "In Honor of Easter" Special section.
Didn't do to badly considering the businesses in my town are tightwads LOL
I have a few more to do tomorrow Follow ups. Don't know what boss will think when she sees F. U beside the ones I need to go back to! LOL Especially when at the end of the day she chided me on spending to much time on paperwork when I could be making more calls! I just looked at er and said I did it for a reason One I know who I called 2 I know why I called and 3 what the response was. She said no more about it.
I guess I need to learn short hand LOL

Bit of good news too. I was talking to one of the girls at work and she had the same trouble with her knee as I am having with mine. She had hers operated on and she says they still ache s bad But she has a 500.00 brace that she is going to loan me for awhile to see if that helps me any. It allows me to bend and walk normal but it will keep me from twisting my knee.
So we're going to give that a go.

Tomorrow night I get to go out to the Royal performing Arts event. It's a Johnny Cash impersonator So we'll see just how good or bad he is LOL

Krys, She says to choose things that have a glycemic index of 55 or lower. One thing I found intersting, although white rice has a lower GI than Brown Rice, she recommends brown rice because it has the fiber to keep you full longer. Basically the long cooking rice & even as far legumes, the dry ones not the canned ones are good choices. Bananas are ok as long as they aren't completely ripe, which works for me since I only like them a little green. As far as potatoes --the only 2 that she prefers due to the GI is Yams or Sweet potatoes, all others are well over the 55 limit.
Would you belive Whole Wheat is higher on the index than Stone Ground whole wheat?

Well I was on a roll with nutrition success ---that is until I got home. I had planned to make cabbage & Turkey Kiebasa ---but Kenny wanted to go out for cheeseburgers, at least I went for the BLT instead, if there was a better option, I guess that was it. Well tomorrow is a new day.

Linnie - sorry about your loss. Glad the house is coming together - do you have a move in date yet?

PATTI - I am sorry that you picked up that nasty stomach virus that seems to be going around. Hope you feel better soon! Do you take any probiotics?

Donna B. - what were some of the better foods, if you don't mind me asking?

Donna - wow, that is a LOT of sandwiches! You have some hungry folks in your area. LOL How is your foot doing?

Morning Angels. At 1pm today we are going over to the church to make sandwiches for a fundraiser we had. We sold somewhere around 355 ham and cheese and turkey and cheese sandwiches. Don't have anything else planned other than delivering the sandwiches we sold.

I did the 20 minute resistant band chair exercise this morning from SP. Whew, what a workout. Kind of difficult to do with a boot on but I managed. At least it's a start.

Have a great day.

Linnie, you have my sympathies for your loss. Who knew that a sinus infection would do that?

DB-I'm glad that your visit with the nutritionist was at least informative. Too bad on the gain though. You will have a loss next time, I just know it.

Linnie, I'm so sorry for your family's loss, my heart & prayers go out to you during this time.

Krys, you are probably right about the nightmares.

So I had my visit with Sonia (the new nutritionist). Well the weight loss just wasn't there, actually gained 1/5 #s. So I've got work to do to overcome this gain. But she game me another weeks of menu plans & receipes to try. She also went over the Glycemic Index & which foods would be better. I learned alot, told Kenny I felt like I just came back from Science class as she also explained how insulin & the pancreas work in relation to our foods. Very informative visit. I go back in 5 weeks for a followup & I need to see a loss!
Been up since 430 (acutally awake since before 4), got some housecleaning done & 30 minutes on the treadmill. emoticon

He was my great nephew's father. He got a sinus infection, did not go to the doctor, it moved into his brain and it killed him. He was brain dead for three days before they unhooked the life support. I got to work at 5 this morning and got off at 2. I am pretty pooped. I work tomorrow and then I have Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday off. I requested them so I could get some stuff done on the house. It is getting much closer to being done.

Elaine - sounds like your patient is a compulsive shopper. Too bad she doesn't donate that stuff instead of throwing it away!

Donna B - sorry you didn't sleep well; I bet your job causes the nightmares! Will continue to keep DD in prayer and certainly that all goes well on her court date.

Marion - hurray, speaking up seemed to have its advantageous!

Donna - so glad you were able to find a close match to your ring!

PATTI - wonderful housework! Someday I'll have a robot to do all of mine. LOL

Guess the prendisone is working. I'm coughing less so that is a good sign; even went for a long walk. There may be hope yet! LOL

Hi Angels. This morning DH and I made an unexpected run to Walmart. DH was supposed to go help a mechanic with a car that we are getting, DH's dream car, but it got postponed. I had ordered a class ring from Walmart and yesterday afternoon I got the email that it was in. We went and picked it up and it is beautiful. Not exactly what I had in high school but close. I lost the one I got in high school back before I was married the first time, some 33 years ago so I got a second one. Lost that one too, so I hope to have this one the rest of my life. Needless to say I wore it home and it is now safely in it's box awaiting my reunion in June.

Weird weather today, one minute the sun is shining, the next it's snowing to beat the band. Had a huge squall go through around noon but it's all gone already.

Church tonight, Lent Services.

Have a great day.

Yes I sometimes throw in a few sodium reduced tortilla chips Makes it into kind of a taco salad without the hamburger.

WOO HOO Don't have to strap today. They are training a new girl! I can work on my sales. Today I'm calling all the churches around East Central Alberta to see if they will list their Easter services. Then it's calling the businesses as sponsors so that the churches can do it for free. Cost 27.00.
so I'll be on the phone all day! LOL

And today being what it is at work I may or may not get home for lunch so my lunch is already there. I bought a fruit cup of fresh grapefruit, water melon peaches strawberries and blueberries and Greek yogurt with honey to mix up. Going to grab some nuts and seeds from home to ad to it too.
OK time for that fruit and fiber smoothie!

Marion, that salad sounds so tasty. Do you have any crackers or carb with it. I find that when I eat only a salad but nothing of a carb nature then I'm starved in an hour or two.

Elaine, glad you got rested up. Sleep does make a difference in how we can function for the day.

Krys, Prayers do work & many thanks to all who have prayed for Tori. She's really come a long way. We have her final court date on Monday to find out what she will be charged with in her last set of charges. Keep those prayers coming.
As far as the recipe, it was something I kind of came up with as I was browsing my cabinet to plan my meal. It may be on spark, didn't get a chance to check .

Horrible night --keep waking up from nightmares. Stressed me out so bad couldn't go back to sleep. But at least I have my healthy snacks/lunch planned. Recently I bought some of the FLATOUTS flatbread wraps, love them! More pliable to work with than the standard wraps. Today I'm putting in some roastbeef & turker with avocado & spinach & having with a side of applesauce. Hoping the nutrtition visit today is good.

Donna B. - so glad DD finally got that rebelliousness out of her system. I know several of us have been praying for her to do so. That dinner sounds good, something from Spark recipes? Still recuperating from the time change myself. Let us know what the nutritionist says!

Marion - hurray for people recognizing your amazing talents! Bet G is glad to be home from the vets!

Elaine - she may have just wanted to get out and be in a store and amongst people. I know that made it difficult for you though.

PATTI - that made for a very short night! Hope you got a nap in somewhere.

Donna - glad things went well with Dr. appointment. Monday is not that far off!

NORMA - if you have been eating a lot of salty foods, that may just be water weight. You can do this - we have faith in your success!!

Doc said it was a respiratory inflammation and prescribed Prednisone. Hope I don't gain 50 lbs from the steroids! They always help with the coughing and breathing but at a price! UGH!

I do love my greens i use them and eat them is so many different salads now
Today for lunch I used Romaine lettuce, Spinach, tomato, cut up snap peas, red onion, mushrooms currents nuts seeds and for something different added salsa and fat free cottage cheese! (Made it for Walt so had to try it myself LOL) 2 cups of that and I was FULL!

Good news.
Tomorrow is Wednesday and y'all know that has meant for me in the past if the regular strapper doesn't come in. Well just before leaving work I asked whether or not she was going to be coming in and you know what I got told.
She doesn't work here anymore! So she won't be coming in anymore.
So my next question was what are you going to do because my knee won't take it any more not after last week. Took me three days to get it calmed down.
The response "find someone else" You have no idea what a relief that was and is for me.

Just before it was time to come home today I bumped my foot on the base of my office chair and jarred the knee. The pain that shot through it! As long as I don't do such foolishness or twist it I'm pain free. The Krill is really helping.

Patti, hope your sleep schedule gets better. I've heard others say how the time change has had a negative effect on sleeping.

Norma, no fretting over the 1.5# gain, you will get this off in no time, I just know it.

Donna, all in all not a bad report, sounds like you are recovering well, just give it time & you will be out walking circles around everyone.

Home late again, so I'm thankful I did my workout this morning. Guess I really need to make getting up @ 430 a priority so I can do my workouts. I would prefer walking outside, but I can never seem to get home in the evenings early enough.

I go see my nutritionist tomorrow. Hopefully there will be a weight loss from last time.

Good afternoon Angels. My appt. at the doc was good news, bad news. I didn't walk out of there as hoped, but I don't have a cast on anymore either. They took the stitches out and I'm in a boot now. Doc said no weight on it yet until Monday, which means no going back to work until Monday either. Kind of a Yay/Boo situation. I can take the boot off at night and to exercise my foot and to take a shower. Ahhh, a real shower. I just cleaned my foot and leg up and put lotion on. My leg was really scaly.

Tonight is TOPS, which I won't be weighing in again. Scale was just a little bit farther down this morning but again, not near where I need it.

As far as exercise, the doc said that once I can walk on it, I can use an elliptical or stationary bike but not a treadmill. Guess I'll have to find a place that has these and go there. I only have a treadmill at home.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Glad everyone is feeling better. Now if everyone could just get the rest they need everything will just be hunky-dorey.

Marion, that is quite a tasty creation. SCORE for Walt wanting salad!

Elaine, hope you get some rest today.

Another early morning. I think the time change has gotten to my sleep schedule, can't seem to sleep past 4am. So I was able to get my workout done early before work. emoticon Even had time to prep my foods for today & make myself a healthy breakfast ---Spinach, mozz cheese & egg wrap. Yum!

hey DB I too got a little creative with my dinner meal for Walt; trying to get him eating more healthy as well.
He requested yes I said requested salad with his roast beef left overs from yesterday So I thought OK we'll just see how he likes this! So out came the romaine lettuce, tomato a little salsa, a little light 1% cottage cheese nuts seeds and currents and a shpackle of shredded cheese.
Down the hatch without so much as a comment. It was a hit!

Well Genevieve is home poor thing. I begged off work a half hour early to go get her. She's asleep at my feet.
And gotta toot my horn a bit here. Today boss called and said it sure felt good to go away and know that she had a competent team to run the business while she was away. Maybe this year I can actually take my five weeks of vacation time.
And then Brian pipes up Yeah Gayle you just keep selling those ads the way you have and she'll get too!
So yeah I feel pretty darn good today.

Krys, the car savings fund will be slow going. We are making her do this on her own. We had gotten her a car when she turned 16 & only had it about 6 weeks before she got busted with a DWI ticket ---thankfully that was dismissed since she hadn't blown the legal limit. You know you hear that preacher's kids are the worst ---well she is the fullfillment of that! Our other 4 gave us virtually no problems, but boy has she made up for their loss, all started at 14. She's turning 20 next month & finally seems to have her head on her shoulders. She's learning when she gets in trouble, she has to figure out how to fix it herself.

Made a new dish for supper, I was leary thinking Kenny would protest because it's was healthy. I made potato flake crusted baked chicken with potato salad & turnip greens. Definitely was a hit with him.

Marion - you are AMAZING! Thank you for the info; I will have to check to see what kind of allergies that might produce. No, I don't like time change and neither does my body. It may be October before I get this right! LOL

PATTI - can you adjust the time you take that med so it makes you sleepy at night?

Elaine - glad you had a good lunch with your in-laws. You had a long day at work today!

Donna B. - thanks for the info. I know I can take them okay; just not sure about the krill. How's the car saving program with DD going? Hope she gets some tax refund to help her get there faster for both of you! LOL

Donna - hope all goes well at the doc's visit! Will you be on crutches?

Good afternoon Angels. This morning DH and I went to look at a side job that DH will do for a friend. I waited in the car as I couldn't get into the housed with the knee walker. It's a split level house and the knee walker doesn't do steps. After that we stopped off to get me some milk, then the bank and post office.

I just finished cleaning out some clothes to go to a church tonight. They will in turn have a free clothes drive sometime next month. I have 2 big garbage bags full plus some dresses on hangers, some shoes and some belts. Still have a lot but it's a start.

Tomorrow there will be no sleeping in as I have to be at the doc's by 8:15. I'll let you all know what happens tomorrow afternoon as after we leave the doc's, hopefully on two feet, then it's to Walmart and the grocery store.

That's about it for now. Cloudy but mild today ahead of some rain moving in tonight.

So did we all adjust alright to te spring ahead time change?
I'm no worse for wear. Simply listened to my body clock and went to bed wen I was tired. Was up but the once for puppies wanting out and was able to go right back to sleep. Woke up my usual time 5 am. Have all my morning chores done and can steal a few minutes before needing to warm up the car.
I have to take Genevieve to the vet this morning for 8:30 for her spay.
So now I'm going to go make my first juice breakfast and have that done. I'll make enough to take wit me to work as well so that if I get hungry I'm prepared.

Couldn't sleep past 430 so got up & did a mini cardio workout before work. I hope I can do another after work but will see since my evenings during the week seemed to be consumed with running DD to her various places she needs to go, not much time for me. So I thought to conquer the hurdle of no time in the evening I would at least do a mini workout on the treadmill of the morning. Going to do my best to make this a daily routine. Then fixed myself a scrambled egg & low fat cheese sandwich on ww bread. So I'm ready for today!

Krys, my dr actually put me on the fish oil a few years back because my Triglycerides were over 400, It made an awesome difference, now they are under 200. So I really believe in taking this stuff, I mean it can't hurt I'm sure.

Good Morning Angels! I have tried to lay down to sleep but find it elusive so thought I would Spark for awhile. Did not get any accomplished todayl I literally slept till 4pm. This increased dosage of the Depakote makes me sleepy, needless to day. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Well the Krill oil is different from fish oil It is what the whales eat from the ocean floor! It is their main diet! A huge difference. You also want to make sure it is Ecologically Harvested

www.purityproducts.com/purityEcommer
ce
/control/krillomegaindex?source=fbonav2

And something else I will be starting here shortly and that is the H.A. Joint Difference:

Combining H.A. and Hidrox

It contains 100 mg of H.A. with an added 100 mg of Hidrox™ and 25 mg of 5-Loxin to powerfully support:

Increased Weight-Bearing Capacity of Articular Cartilage and Joints*
Protection From Oxidative Stress on Joint Tissues*
Increased Shock-Absorbing Capacity of Joints*
May Inhibit the Production of a Number of Pro-Inflammatory Substances, Potentially Contributing to Sensations of Increased Joint Comfort and Ease*
Healthy Inflammatory Response*
Enhanced Production of Elastin in Connective Tissue, an Important Protein Involved in Connective Tissue Remodeling*

www.purityproducts.com/purityEcommer
ce
/control/hajointProduct

I ordered it through the radio program this afternoon and have it on auto ship once every three months.
With these and the change in diet my body should be fully restored regenerated!
I mean just being on the Krill alone the last two weeks has done this can you imagine what another two weeks will do!
I'll be back to my power house self I was at age 25! The fountain of youth? Darn close!

Donna B. - you have found the secret of getting him to walk! LOL Buffets are not my friend either, I keep wanting to taste a little bit of most everything. Not good for me! I stopped taking the fish oil when the research said it didn't help anything; but now rethinking that decision.

Marion - you had a fun relaxing day! You should be good to go tomorrow with all your new office stuff! Tell me more about this Krill Oil, please.

PATTI - hopefully once your body gets used to it, the meds won't make you feel so groggy!

Linnie - must have missed something, Steve Nelson?

Elaine - have not heard of Almond bread before, can you email me the recipe please? I love almonds and drink almond milk.

NORMA - you sound like another busy, busy lady! I can just picture that car shining and gleaming all the way down here!

ERIN - what did the other specialists say? Please let us know what this one says!!!!

TOTHEFUTURE1 - does the krill oil have Omegas like the fish oil?

Donna - you must have your seat rigged to get that pretty centerpiece! LOL It does sound lovely.

Our weather in GA has been very spring-like today as well. Got a walk in; trying to get back in the groove after having had bronchitis! Still coughing like a barking dog! UGH!!

Marion, I take 3000IUs of fish oil daily, actually I had forgotten to take it for several weeks, but have noticed an improvement since getting back to taking it regulary. Less pain & aches, my nutritionist suggested this. She does a lot of running marathons & takes it regulary.

I think my walk & ST has my body ready for bed, feeling a bit tired so heading off to bed soon after I get home from church.

Hey Angels. I am trying my best to stay on track today. It's hard to break the habit once you've done it for a while. I will go down later and make some popcorn.

Yesterday and today were glorious days with lots of sunshine. I saw 2 robins yesterday and 4 today. Can spring be too far behind? Hope not. Seeing more and more kinds of birds around. Once I see the little hummingbirds then I know spring is here.

The banquet last night was not on any dieter's menu. The only things diet there were a baked salmon and very crunchy green beans (I think they're called al dente). There was also lasagna and a chicken Kiev kind of thing then desserts. DH won the center piece. A lovely Lenox vase with live flowers in it. Third time in 9 years we've taken it home. Anyways, like I said, back on track from now on, no more unhealthy eating.

Enjoy the sunshine.

I'm pain free again! Thanks to 4000IU of pure Krill oil! And the energy!!!!!!!!! Up since 7 with the time change and it is now a little past noon and my house is spotless and laundry done.
Has anyone else heard of or have used it or using it? It turns out I just wasn't taking a high enough dosage!

Well going to grab a bite and the we are going to head out after lunch to Fields just to relax and shopping.
But my sister is chewing my ear off at the moment LOL

You are right Norma, men just don't go to all the detail when it comes to cleaning --not matter if it's the car or house. LOL!

Just finished up lunch with our niece & her husband. They opted to go to the local BBQ house & have buffet. So I know I destroyed my diet there ---everything is fried, even the veggies Well at list I did have a tossed salad to compensate, somewhat. Now heading home to have a date with my walking shoes. Catch up with you all later. Have a great afternoon.

Steve Nelson passed away yesterday, so please keep his family in prayer. Kellon really was not too upset as he really did not know his daddy. He is five and his dad did not want anything to do with him which is a shame.

No snow here. Nothing but blue skies and sunshine and believe it or not an entire day totally spent out of the house and in an entire different city! After I tidied up and cleaned te gym before we left. teehee
Yeah Walt and I took off for the entire day together; a day trip shopping in Camrose. No rushing, took our time and even took the scenic route there.
I was in dire need of undergarments for my upper body! SMALLER! What I'm thankful about though is it wasn't the cubbies that shrunk but my back fat! LOL So while he hit the electronics department I hit intimate apparel. Found two lovely black satin ladies.

Then we hit Staples! I found a few new gadgets I needed for both home and office and a few items to personalize my work office.
I had downloaded and printed out a picture of my man. my parents and my Genevieve to hang so I bought the frames for them today, along with a silk plant that I'll spray with my favourite room deodorizer so that the scent will linger longer. I found some real neat ear-buds with the attachment that slips over the ear so that I can listen to music while I work. The rest of them do it so why be the odd ball. LOL
And then I hit Dollarama and I found some new glasses and tea cups for the kitchen.
AND today I bought the new tile for the kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to get that changed out!
Then we grabbed supper at Subway and I had my six inch roast chicken stuffed with all the vegetables I could get into it with chipotle sauce.
We took the scenic route home too and seen several different deer; mule and white tail.
Now I'm home everything is put in it's place and I can sit and totally relax and watch Walt make a fool of himself playing Mario Kart! YIKES!
There see, I do know how to stop and smell the roses LOL

Krys, thats one of her goals. She just got her license back & is working towards getting her own car SOON.
I had a fabulous day! . I must admit after sleeping in , my joints were very stiff, felt like I needed a wheelchair to get around. LOL! But today, DH & I decided we would have no schedules but only a day of fun for us, doing what we wanted. We are usually on the go ALL the time, if it's not work or church, then it's family --so none of that day! We went for breakfast, then went to the State park & trekked on the hiking trail that runs through the woods but has paths cut out to walk down to the lake. We walked for 3 hours, taking some nature photos along the way, it was so much fun. And to think DH went & enjoyed it. He never wants to walk, so if putting a camera in his hand is what it takes, then guess that's what I need to do.
He cooked me a yummy supper after we got all the house cleaning done. Steak, baked potato, tossed salad & Orange danish rolls. Yum yum!

Donna B. - it would be wonderful if your DD was able to drive herself. I know that runs you ragged. Have fun hiking and taking photos!

PATTI - glad they didn't find anything serious! But I know it is always helpful to have a name for what causes our health problem! Took them 2 years to figure out mine.

Elaine - I agree with you about the time change - YUCK! Just heard on the news that heart attacks spike up right after the Spring one.

Donna - hope you get to enjoy the banquet even without the dancing. Thanks for the tips - I'll pass them on to her. I had not heard of this item before you mentioned it; but sounded very knowledgeable when she mentioned it. (Thanks!)

NORMA - babies are too cute to care much one way or another; teenagers however are a different story! LOL My wonderful DH recently cleaned my car since being outside for a long time makes my breathing very difficult. Too much pollen and too much bad air quality.

emoticon You've heard it before - if you live in an area that does Daylight Savings Time - tonight is the night to do it in the U.S. emoticon

Yep I know what you mean Norma, the journey is ongoing, just have to take it one day at a time.

Well just heading home now after a 3 mile trek on one of the trails by a lake. Tooks some nature shots but got in lots of steps. DH really enjoyed it & wants to do it again. Got to stop by the store & pick up stuff for supper --steaks & salad fixins.

Don't forget to turn your clocks up an hour tonight for Daylight Savings Time.

Krys I don't forsee work issues improving, it's been like this since the economy starting falling a few years back. I just take it one day at a time.
Well at least the meal was good Donna, rest that foot now & have a good weekend.
Just had a late breakfast with DH, we slept in today. I do feel somewhat better but feel like a tractor trailer mowed me down. Hopefully as I move around some today my back & achy joints will loosen up some. We are heading to A wildlife park now to do some hiking & nature photography. Life is too short to stay cooped up on the weekends without enjoying life to the fullest.

Morning Angels. I didn't get on here yesterday except long enough to get my log in points. We left the house about 7:15 and didn't get back until 3pm. Home for an hour then met some friends at Red Lobster. By the time we were done there, my foot was pretty swollen so I sat in the back seat so that I could prop it up on the way home. Once in the house I kept it propped up the rest of the night. Much better today.

Tonight is our annual bank banquet. Lots of food and dancing. Guess I'll miss out on that this year. Drat! I love to dance.

I will get back on track starting tomorrow. I have been going hog wild (pun intended) on my eating since I know I can't weigh in and now it has to stop. I will be weighing in in a couple of weeks and don't want to be out of leeway, I want to at least be where I left off so I have to get on the ball at stop all this extra eating.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

KRYS-Your daughter will love this thing. Makes it much easier and safer than crutches. She will need to be very careful of cracks in sidewalks and even stones in a parking lot. If a tire hits it, it can throw her very quick. So far I've been lucky enough not to be "thrown", but it's come close.

DonnaB and Marion-Hope things get better at work.

Patti- Too bad the reports didn't show anything, that's kind of a good news/bad news thing. What's the next step?

MissM-Glad you're back home safe. Nothing feels better than your own bed.

Donna

God is my rock and my salvation.

Good morning! Got my results yesterday & fortunately nothing showed up on the tests so that is good news. Bad news is that still do not know what is causing the proglems-lol! It was a very long & tiring day. Looking forward to some relaxation today!

Crazy day, but a good day for the most part. My DD went to meet with her Probation Officer this morning, a good meeting & then she went & got her license back. Her next big obstacle is now saving up for a reliable used car which would take a lot of weight off of me not having to run her back & forth to work & such.

Relaxing a bit with DH & watching our Friday night shows. Something tells me I will sleep well tonight, just have had no energy today.

PURPLESPEDCOW - emoticon on a good day. They never come often enough!

Marion - I agree, there is no reason you have to be in pain all weekend just because they hired someone so horribly irresponsible!

JOCONNOR - sorry to hear things are rough right now at home. Keeping you both in prayer for a good solution.

PATTI - I'll be looking for those results; hope they can nail this and figure out to treat it!

Elaine - welcome back home. Glad all went well with surgery. Housework never seems to want to do itself! LOL

Donna B. - glad you remind them that it is NOT your fault. Insurance companies have never been known to be kind or generous!

Off to see a play tonight, The Mousetrap. Hope it is good.

Yahoo Norma on getting the scales down, a great reward for your hard work. Congrats on the upcoming arrival of a new grandbaby, how precious is that.

Krys, I guess they figure since I'm the first person they see, they can take it out on me. I have to remind them sometimes that I too am a consumer just as they are --I don't get any breaks, although many of them assume that since I work for the agency I get discounts --boy don't I wish! LOL!

So tired this morning. I've been getting about 8 hours of sleep each night this week but just feel wiped out when I get up. Not sure why since my normal sleep routine is 6.5-7. Ready to relax for the weekend, but of course we do have a visit to the state park planned to do some hiking & nature photography tomorrow.

LOL The initial reaction uncomfortable silence! Do ya blame them? It's the first time they've ever had such a strong opinionated reaction from me! But I stated my stand and after today I think something will be done sooner than later because after yesterday today both of my legs were aching so bad and my right knee paining to the point of I took my work home and finished up the afternoon with my legs elevated working from my easy chair.

So yeah a bit of a rough day today but we got through it alright.
They are still aching but not quite as bad. Hoping with a good nights sleep they'll be right as rain again tomorrow morning.
I told them again today that it's time they found someone that they can depend on week after week as strapper. I'm not going to be going through this week after week!

Donna B. - I can imagine that the economy has some at wits end. Too bad they take it out on you! I've been taking antihistamines and I think they are making me feel more tired than usual; so I can empathize.

Marion - keep us posted on how that job filling in speech went over.

Linnie - does that silly HR person know you could sue for work harassment? Hope you are documenting all these talks! The house sounds like it is coming together nicely. Hope you put up pictures when you are all done!

PATTI - sounds like a good story and I have heard good things about your new one. Please let us know what the doc says!

NORMA/ - good luck on that weight goal! Is your dil having a boy or girl?

Donna - you have a busy schedule! You will be having competition for scooting about - my daughter had to have ankle surgery and she is getting one of those. She lives in TX, so if you hear of a speeding ticket that way, you will know who it is! LOL

Hi Angels. Went to visit the friend this morning while the men went on an errand. Had a nice visit. Got home at 1pm and now I've finished my church report and TOPS minutes. Now I'm sparking.

Tomorrow we are going out for breakfast, getting 2 tires on the car, picking up some paint for a tractor, then to another farmer's market. If we get done in time we will meet the friends we were with this morning at Red Lobster for supper.

Not much else going on. Hope everyone has a great day.

KRYS-The farmer's markets are mostly all inside so it's not cold. There's a few brave souls outside but unless it's nice, we stay inside.

DonnaB and Patti-Hope you both get some sleep tonight. Lord knows I wouldn't be able to function on that little sleep.

Marion and Linnie-Good for both of you for speaking up. Hope things get worked out soon.
