You probably have looked at some of the members Spark Pages and maybe felt a little discouraged or perhaps overwhelmed at all the weight loss! How did they do it? I know That's the question that I asked? How did they do it? Where did they start? Would it help to tell you that behind every success story there was a starting place! That person started somewhere!
They began with that all important 1st step and made a commitment to move forward until their goals were met!
So... you're opportunity for success is right in front of you! It's waiting for you to take the "First Step"
To attain success or to reach your goal, don't worry about having all the answers in advance. You just need to have a clear idea of your goal and move toward it.
What goals do I set you may ask!...In order to set your goals you first have to ask yourself a few questions... How about... How do I want to look? What do I have to do to get there, What will I have to give up to achieve these goals, What will I have to change?, Will it affect my family, Do I have support? If I have questions who do I turn to... The questions could go on for ever but for now we just have to worry about 1 thing! Where you are and where you want to be when you reach where you want to be!
The trick is...is to keep moving forward... never give up! You may make mistakes,
you may not be perfect in every decision that you make but try to be consistent and move forward... I was never prefect and I'm still working on my lifestyle change but.. I'm still moving forward! I still make mistakes but I know that I have to start fresh and take another 1st step to continue moving forward. Do you need support? Look around you! SparkPeople everywhere just ready to step in to help with information, friendship, how to videos, recipes, even step by step on how they did it! You're surrounded by people with great knowledge and people who have been where you are and know what to do and what to say to help you succeed as well!

The goals that you choose and the method you choose may be different than what others do but set your goals, live your goals and don't let anyone stop you from achieving your goals!
If you find your goal too big to handle... break it down into smaller goals and work towards them! Tell yourself that I'm going to lose 200 pounds and you'll get discouraged but tell yourself that you need to lose only 5 pounds at a time and you've just set an attainable goal!
So go ahead... it's time to take that 1st small step... or start again with another 1st small step...
Move forward to where you want to be!!1
