I would like to see this team revitalized. I am going through chemo right now for the very aggressive Large B cell lymphoma. I started with R CHOP but after three doses, it was determined even though the cancer cell count was very low, the two major lymph nodes that are involved was not shrinking. The switched to GEM/OX WITH RITUXIN. their hope is to achieve a stable condition but they have told me that it is TERMINAL.
I will have another PET scan in mid January and we shall see from there.
I was told that my expected time line was ;
worst case - 3 to 6 months
best case - 1 to 2 years.
A bone marrow transplant would go a long way to remission, but at 78, I am not a candidate.
