I'm with you 2KITTIES... my year has started a little crazy too! We recently needed to replace our heat system. Luckily for us, it's been a mild winter in our area, but this replacement has really consumed us. I am very hopeful to get back into a routine again. I've been doing the best I can in a new house, with new problems and timelines, but as you, I've been beating myself up a bit for not sticking to it as well as I'd like.
No marathons or half marathons in sight for me. I'll stick to the treadmill and the occasional muddy run with the dog. I really need to work on some strength exercises and will once I am able to stick to my normal routine again. Definitely don't want to introduce too much at once for fear of quick burn-out!
Only a few months before I can start planning seeds indoors to transfer to my veggie garden this spring!!! Now I need to start deciding what I want to grow and maintain this year!
Hi all! Can you believe that we are almost through the first month of 2012 already?! It's gone by too quickly!
I was giving some though to what I have and have not accomplished this month, beating myself up a bit, actually. The holidays started and ended a little later for us and there are just a few habits that I just cannot seem to completely quit or control. I'm going to keep at it, I am determined to continue to improve!
I've been following the Reds Caravan which kinda shocked me into reality when I started thinking of all the things we've got coming up. I've got my stepson's graduation for Ohio State just a few weeks before Opening Day and I intend to be well on my way to a lighter me. I've got a 1/2 marathon 6 weeks after that. Just the reality check I needed to get serious instead of going through the motions of eating better.
How is your year starting? What are some of the things that you've done that have gotten you closer to your personal goals?
Don't place your mistakes on your head; their weight may crush you. Instead, place them under your feet and use them as platform to view your horizons.
