What's helping everyone get through the office treats table????Co workers and patients have had a constant flow of goodies coming in since Oct. I'm tired of hiding in my office and eating at my desk to stay away!

Plan ahead. Know going into it what you're going to do. For example, I might eat a healthy salad chalked full of veggies earlier in the day & make a decision to try a small portion of a couple snacks. I look for fruit & veggie trays to take up the bulk of my plate & I enjoy the people & conversation. I'm always conscious of balance, looking for both protein & carb options & sticking with portion control.

I usually decide ahead of time if I'm going to afford myself a small piece of dessert. Filling up on healthier fare ahead of time & not denying myself an occasional indulgence works for me; satisfies my sweet tooth and I know I'm going to return to my fitness routine & my healthy lifestyle the next day :)

And, I'll add I try to get in an exercise session that morning or sometimes walk with family following a Holiday dinner.
