I jump on a trampoline for work 2x a day for about 10 minutes each. I also have a sports drill I do on Mondays that involves fake jump rope and soccer jumps (like hitting the ball with your head). The soccer jumps are one big jump followed by three little jumps. I'm getting a jump rope tonight and I plan on switching it up, jump on both feet, hop on one foot, criss cross and lightly switch feet up. As long as it's fun and changes up that's the way I like to jump.
Risk more than others think is safe. Care more than others think is wise. Dream more than others think is practical. Expect more than others think is possible
I vary jumping with both feet, then alternating and tapping my toe at the back, then alternating and tapping my heel to the front. then lifting one knee for 10 reps, then other, then scissoring my feet, then little jumping jacks feet and around and back again. Kind of! Even when I've been consistent, though, I never got past three minutes at a time.

around 3-4 years back when i used to jump rope regularly i would do a 100 jumps jumping on both feet then 100 running with the right leg first then 100 with the left leg first. it helps in balance. i would always make sure if i want to jump less i would descrease the count of both the second and third set but they should always be equal. like instead of 100 of each i would do 50 or maybe 80 of each
now for a change im trying jump rope with interval training. im still getting the hang of it
I use a Jump Snap to start--this is a pair of handles with partial rope attachments, the option to add weights inside and a tracker. I love it! No more tripping over the rope and it's better than air jump roping for me.
I follow the AeroJump DVD. I haven't gotten to a point where I care to jump rope just to music. I need to feel as though I'm jumping with others in a class. I only do level 1 and am working into the first few minutes of level 2. I also like the 10" session from SP.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.
Hi,thanks for repying,I have a rebounder myself but I never use it,last time I used it I hurt my neck!I am not sure if its too new and need a little more 'give' in it,if thats the case I need to get back on it.
Hi,I was just wondering how everyone like to jump rope, for me I prefer to jog or run on the spot and do a circle of the rope with each foot,I can last a lot longer like this.I have used the spark jump rope exercise video and I like that too. So,what's everyone's preference way of doing things?
