Instant couscous The couscous available to buy in most Western supermarkets has been pre-steamed and dried, the package directions usually instruct to add a little boiling water to it to make it ready for consumption.
This method is quick and easy to prepare by placing the couscous in a bowl and pouring the boiling water or stock over the couscous, then covering the bowl tightly.
The couscous swells and within a few minutes is ready to fluff with a fork and serve. Pre-steamed couscous takes less time to prepare than dried pasta or grains such as rice.

Cut up 1/2 Lg Onion 2 Boneless, skinless chicken breasts 1 can Rotel tomatoes with chiles (I use the Milder vs original for my son) 1/4 cup water
Cook on low heat for the day. When you get home and it's finished, take chicken out and shred on a cutting board...will do easily. Place back in the crockpot and add one packet of Taco seasoning. Mix and let sit for 10-15 minutes. I will sometimes add a can of black beans with the Taco seasoning too. Put the chicken over rice, tortillas, or make some hearty nachos. Suprisingly shredding goes a very long way...we can typically get 6-8 servings out of 2 chicken breasts.
wow, that sounds really good. Thank You. I was just looking for a good recipe that wasn't too much like a casserole since it's summertime and dh doesn't really love them. This one is perfect. I'm going to make it this week.

Hi, I'm new to the team but my son's favorite recipe is Crockpot Chicken Tacos 4-6 boneless chicken breast(I put them in frozen) 1 can diced tomatoes and green chilies 1 pkt of taco seasoning.
Just put in the pot and cook on low. I usually leave it about 8 hrs but have left it 11hrs with no bad side effects, When ready to eat, shred the chicken and use a slotted spoon to get the meat out. (I use the little in the bottom to make a cup of tortilla soup for myself.) Add any topping you want.

I just found a great site for recipes. It is called about.com. Great recipes. I went for the Southern U.S. Cuisine. Look to the left and it will say crockpot recipes.
