I haven't used my pressure cooker yet. I use my mothers large cooker for canning. I live at a lower elevation, so I can get away without it.

When you have a small household , a 6 or 8 quart pressure cooker is way too big..
but there is an alternative.
I love my WMF Perfect Plus 3-Quart Pressure Cooker
pricey yes but worth every penny.

I takes me 20-30 minutes from start to finish to make the most amazing dishes
and I don't have to make too much of it.
