Place in crockpot frozen (actually makes liquid). Pour on a touch of Worchestershire sauce, liquid smoke if you'd like, salt, pepper, and add about 3-4 bay leaves. If you'd like, slice an onion and lay on top - a hint of onion, but can be removed easily.

Hi Everyone! Hope y'all are having a great weekend!

I am in need of a Pork Loin Recipe, but my Pork Loin is FROZEN.. Has anyone out there done a Loin in the crock pot from the frozen stage or is it always recommended to thaw it first? If you have a great recipe that does not have too may onions or peppers in it please post it as a message on my page for me. I am looking to do this either Tuesday or Wednesday morning for dinner that night.

Thank you everyone!!!

Worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do, but doesn't get you anywhere.

I am still trying to get organized to use the crockpot regularly, especially the 3 days i work. When I have managed to do it it works great and is great to come home and have it all ready as we often end up with a meal from the store's deli and we get tired of that too. So many good recipes but I am the worst at getting organized, will try harder as i will benefit. emoticon

I love using the crockpot. Since my husband and I are trying to eat healthier, and our work/exercise schedules rarely allow us time to sit and eat together, I have been cooking on Saturdays for the week ahead. I make 3-4 crockpot meals that we can eat all week long (I also bring leftovers to work for lunch). It makes the weeknight rush to cook and eat something healthy an absolute breeze! Just reheat and eat! Can't get any easier (or healthier) than that.

I am glad the site is a good one, now i need time to use it. I am not good at getting at things and getting them done a lot of the time. I sure like the cooker when i use it tho, so nice to come home from work and have it ready as sometimes we probably don't make good choices after work when tired. Good healthy cooking ladies. I will try harder to get orgnaized before work. emoticon

I find lots of crockpot recipes right in Sparks. A friend sent me an email with recipes from 50+Friends Club Cookbook but it didn't give a web site and i haven't tried using this name yet. My problem now is taking the time to buy the ingredients and use them. emoticon

Man I can't beliweve I'm hearing people say they are going to throw out their old cookbooks! I love to look up recipes online, don't get me wrong, but I also love to look through cookbooks and get ideas. I have a huge collection, I think I'm in an unspoken competition with my aunt to see who has more. I but almost all of my cookbooks from the bargin section. I put a smal bookshelf in our kitchen and its full of my cookbooks, and it looks really neat in the kitchen!! Plus I can store some pretty pots or other cooking things on it, right now I have 2 fondue pots on it.

My pleasure! I tell EVERYONE about this site, as it is the best I have found. I like reading the reviews where people have made substitutions and seen what has worked and what hasn't... I have been able to modify many of the recipes, as my son is wheat free and dairy free. I also found great low carb recipes, that were helpful when I was under a Dr's care following an Atkin's type program.
I have posted recipes to the site and my name there is White House Recipes.

thanks so much! It is ironic... I was looking at cook books at the book store the other day, then realized what a waste of money (and space in your kitchen) cook books have become!

happy new years! :)

My favourite website for recipes is www.recipezaar.com
They have a section of crockpot recipes, plus tons of others! They also have reader reviews and they give the nutritional information too. I have posted recipes there and saved over 400 others (you can create your own cookbook online!)
Hope this helps! emoticon

emoticon For the site will take a look emoticon The only problem that I can see is it dosn't give you the calories, fats, etc. to watch your on your diet. So be careful with that! Other than that it has a lot of great ideas! emoticon On your find and thank you for sharing, Much appreciated! emoticon

This website has a lot of Crock pot recipes.

I believe I heard of saving dinner, Is this the site that you have to join and pay a membership fee or is it a cookbook? There are so many options online for recipes that are free.

Thanks for sharing these websites! I agree with many of the members posting that online recipes tend to be easier - but for the crockpot I still love my Fix-It-Forget-It book. I am still pretty new to the site and have not read many of the posts, but has anyone tried www.savingdinner.com? She has some really good crockpot recipes. Now, if I can just get around to dusting off my crock pot then I will be on my way! Enjoy the holidays!

These are some cool websites. Because of the economy, I'm finding us cooking more at home and using a lot less convenience foods. Fortunately my son thinks this is fun. Probably also healthier for us, so hopefully I will be able to focus and drop 50 lbs between now and June.

I still love cookbooks and collect them, but I'd much rather make a recipe from a website that has reader reviews. You can usually find very good advice for modifying the recipes.

I look up on the computer the night before, and decide what to make for the next day. I use to buy so many cookbooks, now I just buy taste of home magazine, and healthy and delicious magazine. I think I've tried just about every recipe that you can make w/hamburger, it's kind of a running joke in our family. Since I started working, I try and have dinner made up for my son to put in the oven, or I have the crockpot going-9 times out of 10 it has hamburger in it! Hey, at least it's not a shoe!!!! (At 5 am I don't really care what I'm putting in there!!LOL) Jemma

I think I may get RID of all my cookbooks, and just go on LINE for a recipe...takes up alot LESS room on my bookshelf. Thanks for still another site to use to help us get our weight under control.

Thank you Pam! I, too, have bookmarked that site. Here is a link to MY favorite:
crockpot365.blogspot.com/2007/12/alp
ha
betical-listing-of-recipes.html

Her blogs are informative AND funny. Reading her entry for Black Bean & Pumpkin Soup had me laughing out loud! There are no where NEAR as many recipes in it as Pam's site has, though.
I hope everyone enjoys it, Lauri
