I made the Spark Recipe Baked Macaroni and Cheese with the Colby cheese and Cheddar soup. It was delicious I used the whole wheat Barilla elbow macaroni and seasoning. A idea add some fresh veggies or frozen into it. My two favorites, seperate would be broccili and fresh spinach. Even making a casserole with some diced chicken breast,Turkey,a favorite sausage would be good. Anyone have a recipe? Karen
Hi Jeanne, I just wanted to say hi before I had a pretty good day overall, had a appt., went to couple stores. I bought me a couple books. I have been reading articles from SP and printing the ones that would benefit me. I also been printing The Recipes from SP. I have a question, When I enter in the name of that recipe in my food tracker, will it come up automatically? If not, any ideas about that? Thanks for your help. We watched Spiderman3 here at home tonight.
Hi Purple01, I am AmySue22. You have a very nice Spark page. I am going to try your Salmon bake. I love salmon. I like shrimp, cod, haddock, perch, hey I don't need to have it deep fried My goal is to plan meals, get more organized, when you have to help out sometimes things get disorganized. Let's stay in touch. Have a good day tomorrow.
Hi Last night for dinner I made for dinner Chili with ground turkey, low sodium tomato juice, added diced green peppers, and diced celery, and I added my spices. Pineapple and peach for dessert and water. As the chili cooked, it thickened up. I forgot, I added dark kidney beans(rinsed with cold water)and low sodium diced tomatos. I also rinsed them. I'm trying things I hope will help me. Perhaps these little tips of rinsing, might give someone else a idea. P.S I don't like onion, so anyone can add their own onion. We really enjoyed it. Have a great day everybody

Hi how are you? Yesterday we had a snow storm, I shoveled (my choice) so I could burn some calories. My husband helped with the snow plow. For dinner last night, I made the Salsa meatloaf with 80% lean ground beef.Cooked greens, red potatos(mashed)and pineapple with peaches. All these served with recommended serving. I do love brown rice, thanks for recommending it. And yes, I agree with the sodium! It's in just about anything. If I feel I get a overload, I chug the water . I also read that for some canned things, you can rinse them with cold water first to get the excess off. I do that. Let's stay in touch.

Hi Amy, Great. You lost 2 pds. You have to change the ticker yourself. Go to My Tools, then click on start. On the left hand side you will see "weigh in" Click on that, and you will see what to do. You will learn everything around here. It won't take long, and you will be a pro! Jeanne

Hi everybody I'm still here. I am swamped with email from SparkPeople, I'm trying to read them plus the articles. My weigh in was 240,on 1/30 2008, currently I'm 238.6. How often does the ticker get changed, and does SP change it or do we? I don't know how to change it either. I'd like it changed on 2/30. I'd like to say less salt, and add all kinds of pinches of spices and herbs for flavoring. If you never learned to read a food label that would be beneficial. Fruit's and veggies are so good for you Have a great day tomorrow
For fiber try subbing brown rice for white rice - you have to up the cooking time but it is worth it for the health value (and I think and increase in flavor). Also try out some bean and/or lentil recipes. If you are not used to these food try out some soups with them - I think it is an easier transition. Good luck!

There are absolutely wonderful recipes on your sparks page! I just cooked up a Salmon Parmesan Bake last night that was my first venture into doing Salmon and my husband and I absolutely loved it! Check out the recipe page for some great ideas and you can tweak them as you need to.
Glad to have you on board!

I joined SparkPeople a couple days ago. I help care for my parents and my father-in law. I would like some delicous low-cal, low-cholest, low sodium recipes. Perhaps also some to that would provide lot's of fiber. My doctor recommends the fiber. I love to be a part of your dicussion. Thank's.
